Matt Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Never a red. Really hate how arrogant these refs are. It's time for Foy to get demoted. Second time in 2 weeks he's made the wrong decision by sending someone off. What, so we [The Championship] get lumbered with another below par referee? Sorry but demoting referee's is simply not a solution, why should the lower league's getting lumbered and punished for referee's fucking up? They should be suspended after so many dubious, wrong decisions for so long, bit like a match ban if you get so many yellows or reds as a player, it probably won't make them any better but neither does demoting them and lower league teams being punished. Drogba off

Drogba off Didn't say to us, but he shouldn't be refereeing prem games. Whether he gets demoted or suspended something needs to be done about him because it's getting ridiculous.
Corky Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I think the ref got every decision right, Bosinwa's was the least clear-cut but on replay it showed he tugged at Wright-Phillips shirt. QPR should go on and win this now.

I agree and i'm sure between us we can add a few more to the list while we're at it, but what I was saying was whether it's the Championship, League One, League Two, Conference, even Non-League in some extremes, what makes those games any less important than Premiership games for them to have to put up with his sub-standard officiating when he gets 'punished' by getting demoted. And when I said 'we' I didn't mean us, I meant The Championship as a whole.
Guest ttfn Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Chelsea should have had at least 1 second-half penalty...
marko Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Chelsea had seven bookings and two red cards. I thought Foy was stupid with some of his yellow cards, at one point every foul was getting a card.
Corky Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I thought Foy was stupid with some of his yellow cards, at one point every foul was getting a card. Some of them were very soft.
lcfc_sam_p Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Todays football has shown why this league is regarded as the best IMO. Hope this stupid no relegation thing doesn't come about and ruin it all.
ScouseFox Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I wonder if he'd have been booked if it had said 'Support the starving in Africa' or something similar - I suspect not. Was it Tamir Cohen who revealed a farewell message to his late father last season? Don't think he got booked, did he? Stupidest rule out there anyway.
Brown Fox Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Was it Tamir Cohen who revealed a farewell message to his late father last season? Don't think he got booked, did he? Stupidest rule out there anyway. Worst thing about that was that Cohen actually did get booked.
Bert Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Thought Chelsea were awesome with 9 men. Shame Foy ruined the game with non-stop whistling, poor decisions and being card happy.
Fox92 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Anyone noticed Molineux looks different? You know behind the goal (the other goal, not the goal where the away end used to be) all the seats are black (where as the other stands' seats are gold) and the stand just looks differently laid out. Yeah, just thought I'd share that. - Couldn't find the Carling Cup thread.
StanSP Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Vidic's turn to see red today. Everton's players are knackered from mid-week, whereas Man Utd had a chance to rest a lot of their players in the League Cup. 3-1 or 3-2 to United I think.
I am Rod Hull Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Ferdinand dropped... Not surprised after last week, he was gash... Thought Everton v Utd was the televised game but no, its Arsenal v Chelsea.... pffffft !

Dylan Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 On the coach to West Ham, and noticed Evans is starting for United... Shouldn't he be serving a suspension after being sent off v City? Or am I missing something?

Libertine Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Isn't a straight red card a 3-match-ban? Depends on the offence. e.g. if it's a dangerous foul. Usually just one for a 'professional' foul.
StanSP Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Started very brightly for both teams but Man Utd finally find a way through. Chicharito. Everton 0-1 Man Utd.
ScouseFox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Chelsea could, and probably should be 2 or 3 up already. Arsenal's defence
