21st Century Fox Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Liverpool target Johan Cruyff for senior role Johan Cruyff is among the names being targeted by Liverpool after Damien Comolli's departure as director of football, BBC Sport understands. Reds owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have yet to draw up a definitive shortlist to replace Comolli. But the Dutchman, 64, has impressed FSG chief John W Henry in his senior roles with Ajax and Chivas in Mexico. It remains to be seen if Cruyff, who currently manages the Catalan national side, would be open to the approach. This had better not happen, my respect for Cruyff would plummet. I can't see him being interested but stranger things have happened.
marko Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 5-1 City. Tevez with a hat-trick. The moaning, self-centred, mercenary will be being idolised again.
AKCJ Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Aguero and Tevez has to be the greatest strike partnership in the PL this season (maybe ever?).
marko Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Aguero and Tevez has to be the greatest strike partnership in the PL this season (maybe ever?). I'm not quite sure how you can come to that conclusion when Tevez has been AWOL for 6 months. I bet they've not even played 10 games together. Perhaps if that selfish muppet hadn't swanned off City would have won the league. As for the best, Henry and Bergkamp must be up there.
Guest shearfox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Lovely dive by Young. Rooney scores the PK. 1-0 Getting almost as good as Ronaldo....
Matt Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Might consider a bet on Villa going down next season if I can find a decent price, If Villa play like they have this season next season they'll certainly be relegation contenders, they've been awful this season.

Always difficult to replace O'Neill should never have let him leave.
Corky Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 The thing is, yes, it probably was a foul. Similar to the one Tevez received yesterday and got booked for, though he didn't throw himself to the ground so theatrically. And the defending for the second goal- what was he doing leaving the ball?
skinnydipper Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Not a foul. Young changes direction to make contact with Villa player. Should get retrospective bans for this sort of thing IMO
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Never a penalty in my opinion, he threw himself to the floor (very theatrically) after minimal contact was made.....and then Dwight Yorke claims it was the right decision, not biased much.

davieG Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 And how can the commentators say the Carrick booking was unlucky or did I see something completely different? As I said Shameful!
Guest shearfox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Young clearly changes direction to cause contact with the villa players leg and then blatantly dives....
Haydos Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 And how can the commentators say the Carrick booking was unlucky or did I see something completely different? I though it was a 50/50 at first and should have been play on. After the replay it shows Carrick getting there slightly late. I don't think that sort of tackle should warrant a yellow though, they've both committed to a tackle in a non-dangerous manner, Carrick's just unlucky he got there a moment late. Free kick, fair enough but a yellow just seems pointless, what's he being punished for?

Getting there late is not unlucky it's bad timing and if you can't time it correctly you shouldn't attempt it, he caught the players legs. Yellows are a lottery granted but I doubt they'd be questioning it if it hadn't have been one of the 'top' team's players. Just seems like typical commentator top team bias.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 A head injury and the ref plays on because it's Man U, then when the attack comes to nothing and Villa get possession he finally blows up.....
Guest shearfox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Rooney doesn't seem to have any control of the ball at all at the moment, been pretty terrible.
