Haydos Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Getting there late is not unlucky it's bad timing and if you can't time it correctly you shouldn't attempt it, he caught the players legs. Yellows are a lottery granted but I doubt they'd be questioning it if it hadn't have been one of the 'top' team's players. Just seems like typical commentator top team bias. We're talking fractions of a second though. I'm not just talking about that challenge, it's just an example. I have no issues with yellows being given for cynical/(properly) late/dangerous tackles but it just seems pointless giving them out for nothing incidents. Do you really think 2 of those tackles deserves a red card?
marko Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 What a cheat. I swear Young goes down quicker than a $2 crack whore.
purpleronnie Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 What a cheat. I swear Young goes down quicker than a $2 crack whore. how ref's fall for those dramatic dives I'll never know.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 What a cheat. I swear Young goes down quicker than a $2 crack whore. Got to ask, how fast do they go down

Do you really think 2 of those tackles deserves a red card? No but then I don't agree with the whole red/yellow card idea as I believe all effort should be made to keep all 22 players on the pitch, expulsions should simply be a last resort. Having said that the system is what it is and plenty of players get booked for less than what Carrick did.
marko Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Got to ask, how fast do they go down FAST! Very, very fast
Corky Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Getting pissed off with the commentators laughing off the tackles Scholes does, almost patting him on the head when "Good ol' Scholesy" drags his studs across someone's knee (today it was Agbonlahor).

MC Prussian Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Meh. Vermaelen cuts the lead to one. 2-1 Wigan now.
Matt Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Bollocks. Also is General Football and Sport running slow for anyone else? Not sure if the rest of the forum is, certainly no other websites are for me, was just wondering if the forum was running slow tonight for some reason or if it just seems to be my connection or something?
I am Rod Hull Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 What a game... I fancy 6-3 at this rate, the tempo is just unreal. __________________________ I had a slow period about a hour ago Matt, but alls ok now.

lcfcsnow Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 What a loss to England Victor Moses is, we'll never be a force when players like him slip away.
Corky Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Wigan can take a giant stride towards survival if they hang on.
