I don't know the ins and outs of transfer deals so could be totally wrong but i'd presume if our offers been accepted and we are talking to the player as far as negotiations between clubs are concerned its a done deal? i.e - The only way it wouldn't go through is if we couldn't agree terms with the player/the player fails the medical.
cc_star Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Dear people, Beckford has played in the Champs before, whilst at Leeds, but he didn't score any goals over 2 seasons from 2005 to 2007 with a total of 10 appearances His big success was when he was in Div 1 scoring 25 goals (many less than CMS??? ) to get them promoted and then left for Everton and scored 8! goals in the Prem If you want goals, The Yak /could/ be a better bet if you want tackling back ability then Maynard will be better. However Beckford will be good because he's better than those already here, just not as good as who else we're in for IMO

Carlos9 Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Expected more from us today to be fair. Would of been happier with Maynard because of Beckfords attitude, but theirs no doubt in my mind about Beckford banging them in for us. I was more excited about the Kebe deal .

I have no doubt that regardless of what people say ie; Attitude problems etc, that Jermaine beckford will give 100% for the football club that he plays for. He's a professional footballer & if he does sign ill be delighted! Cmon Jermaine!

Guest shearfox Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 They are good stats if you ask me. There is a reason Everton signed him and a reason he scored a few in the prem last season. He has the quality to bag 20+ in this league.
