Martyn Waghorn will join Hull City on loan this week.

The Leicester City forward is surplus at the King Power Stadium and Sven Goran Eriksson is desperate to save on the striker's wages.

The move will help Eriksson fund yet another bid for Bristol City forward Nicky Maynard.

Any word on how much we're getting for him? My guess would be that it's undisclosed as I can't them publicizing what is likely to be a big loss in little time! Good luck to him, shame it didn't work out but can't fault his effort!

Well Pearson got the best from him in his time here, as did fryatt do makes sense really. Wish we had never signed him to be honest, a signing to apease us fans by Milan.

The man is a totally incompetant idiot and I can't believe that them idiots in charge of Leicester are backing him.

They are ready to loan us Waghorn who is a perfectly good championship striker and give him 6.5 million to spend on a replacement for him that really is'nt worth anywhere near that.

The foxes gave 3 million for Waggy and have'nt really played him and he is still a young kid!

It's madness and I would love to see Leicester miss out on promotion this season go into meltdown and lose their league status. They are whats wrong with football today driving up prices for transfers and wages and ticket prices, you go Sven and spend 10 million this week you football genius and when you fail miserable again like you did at Man City then toddle off back and be the manager of Nigeria or whatever country will believe your BS next time although if you mess this one up you will be lucky to get a job coaching Fiji.

Whilst I agree 6.5 million is steep but you hull fans are total p ricks Bullard hunt etc all stripped your pathetic league 2 type club of any dignity so enjoy your hoof it and rush football and mid season mediocrity

He's been awful since Pearson left. When was the last time he played well? Looks like he is a bit big at the moment as well- either too much gym or too much food, either way, he's too big.

And he can't shoot.

Waghorn, Fryatt, Hobbs and possiblly Dyer its like a city 2009/2010 city reuinion up at hull! Anyway seriously im absolutely gutted its not worked out for waggy here. I remember when he signed at the end of last years transfer window and i couldnt remember the last time i was so happy about a player signing, Really thought he could turn out to be a city legend after his form in 09/10. Doubt you are waggy but if you happen to be reading all the best :thumbup:

Thanks for your views. I would like to see you go back to League 2 and 1, which is where you have spent most of your time, but it doesn't mean its going to happen does it.

Hardly our fault, £72 to watch QPR and 50m for Torres and 30m for Carroll is whats wrong with football....

Sad to see Waggy go, but I'm sure even he'd admit that in the time he's been given on the pitch he's produced nowhere near the form he's, a) capable of, or b), expected to find to hold down a place. Good luck at your new club Waggy, just not at our expense!

That Hull fan seems to be showing some jealousy to me.6.5million for maynard is worth it as he will be a major part in us going up and 90million quid. Whereas they will get an out of form striker who at the moment couldn't hit the empire state building let alone a barn door. He isnt going to be the solution to their goalscoring problems like Maynard or the Yak would be. Players they can't compete to sign.

To be fair when has he ever played up front? Look at Schlupp, when in his natural position of striker he's been excellent. When shoved onto the wing he's been average at best. It's a shame it's taken this long to go two up front, because Waghorn may have had a chance to show what he can do again.
