Toffee_Fox Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 that waghorn rumour has been doing the round for months on here
RizLCFC Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Same source as the one that told you about is bidding x million plus waghorn for Maynard a few weeks back?... as that has been denied by them, us and others. People sometimes get things wrong, FO has and so has Bert on a couple of occasions its not their fault things change quickly in the football transfer world, doesn't mean you hold these people accountable they are doing a good job posting info for us, keep it up Bert and Liam
Babylon Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 doesn't mean you hold these people accountable If you post something that turns out to be incorrect, then you should expect people to flag it up, just as people gush over them when something is correct. They get enough brown nosing by others to boost their egos and I shall continue to balance that out by being skeptical about all information, and trying to remind people that just because X person says something, it doesn't mean it's true. I am not going to join in with the sycophantic masses, if you wish to then by all means do so.
Raw Dykes Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Yup. You can't have it both ways - you cannot have your cake and eat it, too. If you want for people to kiss your arse because you spread exclusive news, you have to run the risk of putting your name to some stories that don't actually ever materialise. You can talk authoritatively about rumours and expect praise and some insults, or keep quiet and expect neither.

You can talk authoritatively about rumours and expect praise and some insults, or keep quiet and expect neither. Just to divert off topic for a moment... surely this is wrong? As far as i can tell... in order to eat your cake.. you must first have it, therefore, shouldnt the quote actually be... "you cant eat your cake...and have it too"?

As far as i can tell... in order to eat your cake.. you must first have it, therefore, shouldnt the quote actually be... "you cant eat your cake...and have it too"? I think you're right, and it would be a lot clearer the way you wrote it. It took me ages to understand that saying. For a long time, I thought the "have your cake" also meant "eat your cake", and it was saying, "you can't eat your cake, and eat it, too." which makes no sense at all. It just means that once you've eaten the cake, you no longer own it. If it was, "You cannot own and eat your cake simultaneously", I think I would have understood first time.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 IMO. Between Hull-Southampton waggy would be best going to Southampton who have a great manager for bringing young talent on-good luck waggy
Jaspa Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 GONE - HULL!!! Good luck Waghorn!! Was this on the radio? Any source
MrAus Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 BertLcfc LcfcInfoMan #lcfc's Martyn Waghorn will soon be reunited with old boss Nigel Pearson. Sorry Southampton and derby fans! Twitter
sdb Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Waghorn and Fryatt. They'll do OK I reckon. Wonder what the deal is?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 No dount he will score shit loads at the start of his career there, as did Fryatt.
Jaspa Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Clearly Sven said he was free to look for a club and Waggy sent Big Nige a E-Mail and he's re-united. Best of luck to him, could be their new Windass. But please don't score against us, some of us don't hate you Waggy
MGLCFC Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Not sure Waggy and Fryatt played that much together at Leicester. Could be a bit of a gamble!
dannythefox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Wish him all the best he will do well there. Cheers Waggy
LCFC FOX Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 How do you know this is true ? Good luck Waggy if true though. I would of thought he would of stayed until we got another striker with nugent out.
m00nie Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Not sure Waggy and Fryatt played that much together at Leicester. Could be a bit of a gamble! its as much gamble as buying any new striker... strikers hardly go round in pairs to the same clubs.. (all though que the quotes where some have )
Wymsey Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Feel sorry, but he's not the best striker we have got, woeful shots and short free kicks. Agree for getting rid of him tbh.
davelcfc100 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 All the best waggy, a player that wasn't all that good this season but a player I am sad to go just for the passion and heart he had for the club, if evry player put as much in to a game that he did we won win every game, that said no place for him here anymore, all the best
sphericalfox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 I know a Mackem looking for a home Bruce!!! 4m and he's all yours! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_7131600,00.html
ajthefox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Makes a lot of sense him going to Hull. Re-united will uncle Nige, Fryatt and Hobbs. If he wants to go there we can't make him go anywhere else either.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 good luck waggy - you will be missed by quite a few City fans
