suffolk fox Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Ever the optimist- but I can see us getting hammered in all honesty. At this stage of the season and with our home record I would take a draw.
Bettsy82 Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Just seen Wellens and Gally walking into a flat down the road from me with a load of beer great way to prepare for tommorows big game lads.

iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Me again. I will argue your point about us not having a strong squad. We could put out the two teams below: Kelvin Davis, Frazer Richardson, Jose Fonte, Dan Seaborne, Dan Harding Guly do Prado, Jack Cork, Dean Hammond, Adam Lallana Rickie Lambert, David Connolly Bartosz Bialkowski Danny Butterfield, Rahdi Jaidi, Aaron Martin, Danny Fox Steve de Ridder, Morgan Schneiderlin, Richard Chaplow, Lee Holmes Lee Barnard, Jonathan Forte Plus we have - Jason Puncheon, Ryan Dickson, and some decent youngsters. And there's talk of an additional striker and centre back coming in before the end of the transfer window so our squad will be pretty deep. You have a very good squad, and I tipped you to do well before the start of the season. Will be playoff contenders. However, your argument was that your midfield was better. Now you've brought the squad into it. Lets compare .. Schmeical Weale Paintsil Peltier Tunchev Mills Bamba St Ledger Konchesky Berner Johnson Danns Fernandes King Wellens Dyer Vassell Gallagher Abe Moussa Oakley Nugent Waghorn Howard Schlupp Would personally say ours is stronger. Could only see Lambert & Lallana making our XI
iancognito Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 This is how I think he'll play it but really wouldn't surprise me if there's 5 changes and Schlupp at bloody left back again. I just wish he had the balls to admit his formation's shit and we need wide men. Going for a 2-2 draw, Nugent & Danns. But if we lose 3-0 and get booed off, I won't be shocked either, confidence must be low after the three setbacks. ----------------------------------------Kasper-------------------------------------------------- ----Paintsil--------------Mills---------------------Bamba-----------------Konchesky--- ----------------------------------------Fernandes---------------------------------------------- ------------------------Danns--------------------------Wellens------------------------------- ------------------------------------------King----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------Nugent--------------------------Vassell-------------------------------

And using this formation for the very first time proper last week, we dominated F*rest at the shitty ground. Please let me know your reasons for saying that.

Forest were proper poo for 45mins don't get carried away, yes the ref gave it to them but it was coming anyway as they were dominating us. Southampton play a high tempo 1 touch passing game, if we dont improve ten-fold we could lose... easily! If we do terribly I wonder if it will harm our chances of the imminent transfer. Let's hope we're at least as good as the Forest 1st half.
ros foxy Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 My first game of the season tomorrow, been far too long since I was last at a game. Can't fookin wait :trumpet: Enjoy! It will also be my grandaughters first ever match she is just 3 years old! and is already shouting COM ON Leicester
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Must win game. To lose would be an absolute disaster putting us 11 points behind them after just a handful of games. To draw doesn't do much for us either. It depends largely on how they set up against us. If they decide to go for it we will hammer them. If they shut up shop, we're in for another long afternoon.
Libertine Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Just to let everyone know, I had a dream that we're gonna lose 5-1. So whether you bother today or not is up to you.
philce Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Woke up this morning with a good feeling about this one. We are due something against this lot anyway. 3-2, last 10 mins of shitting ourselves!! (as usual)
foxes2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 guys im all for optomism but you have to remeber the saints are top of the league no fluke either we will have to be on top form to get anything from the game

And using this formation for the very first time proper last week, we dominated F*rest at the shitty ground. Please let me know your reasons for saying that. No width, we play in front of the opposition too much and just don't get in behind their full backs. Some of the football and pretty passing is great to watch but it's no ggod against teams that come to sit and defend. Getting the likes of Dyer out wide spreads the play a bit more and draws their players out of position. The diamond works away from home and did against Forest because it's tighter and doesn't give the opposition room to play but at home we need to be more expansive and Sven has no effective plan B. I wouldn't be so against it if it allowed for wingers but having four very similar central midfielders doesn't work IMO. Well done to Norwich, I don't look in detail at other team's formations but it'd be interesting to see just how many teams play the our way and get success.
beryllind Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Things don't look good, not sure if the manager knows what he is doing, also not to happy with some of the new players.

Let's hope we're at least as good as the Forest 1st half. Ok, but my point still remains - you have to admit that our performance at F*rest, especially first half, was a vast improvement over the two home games. This was also the first time we started with the 4-4-2 diamond. This is not purely coincidence, surely? I really don't know what result to expect today. Yes, Soton are playing very well, but they're still riding the wave of promotion, and that only lasts so long. Our performances are improving game by game since the Reading match, and if we can carry on like this, we'll hit good form sooner or later. I think I'd be happy with a point, to be honest - this is the worst time to face Soton, and the worst place - the team are under far too much pressure at the KP at the moment. If I had a choice, this would be the very last fixture I'd go for today. Saying that, before the F*rest match, I dreamt that we beat Soton 4-1 in this match. I hope I have some psychic powers.
21st Century Fox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Sweet I can actually get the game on BBC Radio Solent. No Stringer!!

HEGGSY Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Bigdutchy come back we need you to tell us that was a footballing lesson
EnderbyFox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Spot on, its not easy, nor did I ever claim it to be. We're playing good football and working very very hard, and as a result of the way we play the game, there will be an inevitable drop off in form and results because you can't maintain that level of intensity throughout the season. That said, we're a much better team than you, and I suspect we'll win tomorrow. Good luck with all that debt...
