leicesterseddon Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 I fear accommodating 4 central midfielders into this 'diamond' is going to become distinctive of our team selection this year...square pegs in round holes anyone? Anyway, I do think we'll beat Southampton tomorrow - I think we play better against teams that come at us, plus winning 5 in a row in the Championship is pretty rare and they have to get a beating sometime soon...
Ashley Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 putting King at the base of the diamond is laughable. At the tip for me.... Kasper Pantsil - Mills - Bamba - Konch Fernandes Wellens Danns King Nugent - Vassel I agree, I've said it before and I will again some people on this forum do not have a footballing brain what so ever. Numpties.
bigdutchy Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 4 pages of twaddle. Whatever starting XI you go with you're gonna get hammered. The problem with spending all the money that you have is you lot all now live in a dream world where you think it suddenly means you'll walk all over teams. HUGE wake up call coming tomorrow chaps....

NGoloMode Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Kasper Pantsil - Mills - Bamba - KoncheskyFernandesKing - WellensDyer ---------------------- VassellNugent bit of pace on the wings. strong foot on the outside for more shots than crosses.

HUGE wake up call coming tomorrow chaps.... Actually we've not been dreaming for a couple of weeks now. Are you a Soton fan? If you are you should realize this League isn't all that easy, four wins and you think your gonna destroy the favorates. You need a wake up call buddy, good luck with Boldock or whatever the shitters name is.

We're playing good football and working very very hard, and as a result of the way we play the game, there will be an inevitable drop off in form and results because you can't maintain that level of intensity throughout the season. That said, we're a much better team than you, and I suspect we'll win tomorrow. Good luck with all that debt...
Sods Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 It must be Southampton's turn to have a go on this forum! Love how apperantly we are in for a shock tomorrow, a shock so big we wouldn't have thought a team top of the table scoring goals left right and center could make. Yes we got carried away at the start of the season, wouldn't you seeing the rumours and money being mentioned, but the pressure is off us tomorrow which we love at Leicester City. Should be a great game!

That debt will only count if we don't go up, and I don't doubt Sven and his players ability to get us up this season. You've probably looked up at Norwich last year and thought this time it could be you. The fact is your team is still riding of the confidence of last year, and a few bad results could spell the end of your ambitions. You have a weak defence, and average midfield but like to play attacking football. We have a very strong defence, a very varied, skilled and quality midfield and a world class manager. We will see tomorrow Dutchy
shailen Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Mate you have just had a headstart, if you look at coventry and derby last season they did exactly the same thing....great start, but they then faded away narrowly avoiding relegation. Not saying the same will happen to you but theres still so many games left in the season, and come back to this forum in may and we will see who is celebrating!

Good luck with all that debt... so this is a Leicester City fans forum then, why dont we get decent visiting fans posting the odd nugget of information, maybe even being polite at the same time, no we just get the retards of other clubs posting, in short FOOK OFF back to Southampton you fookin cvck

At the end of the day if we play like we did in patches against Reading, Brizzle and for most of the Forest game, I think you'll be the one who's shocked come 5pm tomorrow!

The Guvnor Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 This I would like to see us Smash every team that visits the KP,this won't happen, especially against teams who have momentum and the winning mentality following promotion. What we do have however is strength in depth with our squad and it will take us time to gel, as long as we don't have too bad a start I can see us doing extremely well during the second half of the season, and dare I say it promotion.
bigdutchy Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 That debt will only count if we don't go up, and I don't doubt Sven and his players ability to get us up this season. We will see tomorrow Dutchy Very strong defence? Really? St Ledger is a calamity - expect more of the types of mistake you saw against Bristol City from him. The Reading manager and chairman must think Christmas has come early - in 2 deals they've made a net of £4.6m and actually upgraded their centre half position. Weak defence? Best defence in League One last year. Also, we've conceded half the amount you lot have so if you insist we are weak, care to describe your defence again? Average midfield? Lallana and Jack Cork would walk into any midfield in the league. The only accurate things you post contained was the fact that you do have a quality midfield - Fernandes and Danns are both quality. And you do have a world class manager. Or at least, he was once. Not sure whether that is still accurate. I'll pop back on here on Sunday, win or lose, and I'll pop back on here in April too. Quite happy to take the flak if I'm wrong.
Ozwin Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Thing with Southampton and Brighton is they might be starting off well but they don't have the squads to maintain it all season. We might have started off crap but we know that we have players who can come on for other players and do a job. Time will tell I guess.

Quite happy to take the flak if I'm wrong. 'Strongest in League 1' says it all for your defence. Facing quality, they will crumble time and time again this season. You have four good mids by my count, but with minimal experience at this level. Alot of teams in this League have good midfielders but are seen as weak, Leicester's are now a differant level completely. As for our defenders -----------Kasper Pantsil. Mills. Bamba. Konch Don't underestimate Mills, he's gaining momentummatch by match now, and the Leicester lad has a real passion for the club. On his day he can bring back games at the death, he taught us that last season, could be time for your lesson. The rest are undoubtable quality. Speak to ya tomorrow then bud
bluesbrothers Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Brighton, with Mackail Smith fit, will stay right up there. Southampton, as cocksure as they are, will not. I wasn't one to get carried away early doors. Leicester City is possibly the single worst club in the world when it comes to tempting fate, but me and I think most of my fellow fans didn't buy into the "walking the league" crap that always comes back to slap you in the face. It will be a good match tomorrow, for sure, possibly in crap weather which should be fun for both defences. bigdutchy seems like a right old Nobby Solano, cruising on momentum to feed his superiority complex that comes with every club capable of a gate of more than a few thousand (yes, there are some at every club, ours included.) No club is too big my friend. Hope you enjoyed languishing in League One, mate. I normally don't like to push the boat out on results, but fate says we'll stuff you and the rest of your daft seaside mates tomorrow. I'm gonna have a cheeky bet on 3-1 Leicester tomorrow.
bigdutchy Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 People often say I've got a superiority complex. I'm not sure that's fair. I can't help it. It's not my fault I'm better than everyone ;-) Enjoy the game. Here's hoping we win tomorrow, but that you lot finish second and get promoted with us. I'd like to continue the banter next season... Always had a soft spot for Leicester since the MO'N and Emile Heskey days.
blueredswed Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 I think with the sqad we have today going bad in beginning but at christmas we are there we deserve (my spelling)... : )
