Matt Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Well FFS, that crept up on me, didn't even know until today that we don't play next week due to a crappy international break. How exciting It says alot about how much i'm bothered about England when i'd rather watch Leicester after that second half performance. It's not even on the bloody Saturday, so we're all left twiddling our thumbs Saturday afternoon. Club > Country.
Fox in the North Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 I find I go through the same stressful psycho inducing nightmare when watching either

DB11 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 I don't care if England never win another game again I only have the same mindset as the guys who are playing, anyway
Matt Posted 27 August 2011 Author Posted 27 August 2011 I don't care if England never win another game again I only have the same mindset as the guys who are playing, anyway Don't worry you'll only be watching the referee's performance anyway.
Bert Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 I don't think our second half performance was bad today! They just played well. Looking forward to England as it's a slight comfort.
DB11 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Don't worry you'll only be watching the referee's performance anyway. Nah not foreigners nothing to learn from watching them
Matt Posted 27 August 2011 Author Posted 27 August 2011 Matt, the second half wasn't that bad. Hmmm, dunno then, just my view, maybe different to yours but I felt in the end 3-2 flattered us, A draw or Southampton win would have been right, don't get me wrong i've always said i'll take a win of any kind by playing poor over a loss but playing brilliant, obviously. Was very impressed first half, think thats why the second was a disappointment, but i'm happy we won, just think we were very lucky in the second half, but it's about time we had some luck.
Corky Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 We created several opportunities in the first half, their keeper made three great saves, as Kasper did in the second. A defeat for us would've been very harsh. Anyway, on the original topic, I don't mind International breaks. I can't take that tension every week!
Podge Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Always miss the real football when the international break comes about, never quite sure what to do with my day. Might watch the Scotland game, I think they are playing on the Saturday anyway.
Yojoe36 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Was listening to Radio Leicester on the way back from the match, then heard Alan Young going on about the break. I was gutted, I f***ing hate international breaks. Like the rest of you Club > Country. England squad is full of twats
Narborough_fox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Good break I think. We can regroup and hopefully bond. Hope to see Scotland get a win or 2 and we come back from the break re-vitalised.
Bugg Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Why can't people care equally about club and country? No wonder English fan culture is criticised when we couldn't even give a shit about the country we are in. Edit - Oh, and "England Team is full of twats" is a shit excuse, I'm sure there are plenty of club teams full of twats but people have no problem supporting them then.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 I don't care if England never win another game again I only have the same mindset as the guys who are playing, anyway Just sick of the players for England who don't play with pride or passion for the shirt. To be fair, if City go up with a whole squad full of foreigners it wouldn't bother me and I'd be chuffed. Just shows how much I care about England.

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 http://www.nonleagueday.co.uk/ The simple answer to avoiding England.
ajthefox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 In a way I quite like watching England because it's much less taxing. Wanting them to win goes without saying but I have such little expectation and feel way less part of our Countries team that I can watch without coming close to soiling myself or going mad. I am annoyed there's an international break though. <_<
Brainy Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 I don't care if England never win another game again I only have the same mindset as the guys who are playing, anyway Such a pathetic argument. I bet those who are saying they dont care about England will be the ones that have most to say about the match afterwards.
HEGGSY Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Im not saying I hate england personally I follow England a lot and love it when we play and will watch whether we have just played amazing or awful in the last match, because at the end of the day these lads are representing our country and need our support, that said...and I may word this completely wrong I just feel a more personal connection towards Leicester than I do England hence my previous post Club > Country But that does by no means, mean I don't support England with a passion
