And get Mark Hughes in today he would jump at it, ambitous owners money to spend he would organize us, motivate us and give him 40 games would get us out of this division with his eyes closed, This is in effect the first time Sven has a had what you would call a settled team, as long as this year isn't a disaster then I agree keep him on. If the owners keep patient and keep digging deep he'll get us promoted, if not this season then next!
One Arm Babba Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 What a thick twat. How did you come to this conclusion? I really hate the fact that you and I follow the same team. The thought of being associated with such a moron makes my skin crawl.
drc Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Oh..dear..God! Hughes inherited Erikssons squad at Man C (that was one for the future) and then spent like there were no tomorrow and still failed to make an impact and got the sack.

Fox92 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Although I like Mark Hughes, as a player and manager, this would be the wrong thing. I've said all along that managers are not given enough time, such as Sousa, so why treat Sven the same way? He's just got his team in, imagine if a new manager came in, he'll want to bring his own players in and everything could go then. Hughes had lots of money to spend at Manchester City. I can't remember exactly who he brought, but he didn't buy as good as Mancini has. I know Hughes signed Tevez, Toure and Lescott (who is overrated in my opinion) but, the other players failed to make an impact and were sold when Mancini arrived. For example, Given, Santa Cruz, Adebayor, Bellamy etc I get your idea, and I get your post. Sometimes I question Sven, his tactics and his signings. But, chopping and changing the manager constantly will not help the situation. We need a settled squad ahead fof our push for promotion.
The Sven Revolution Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 The thai owners should thank Sven for all his efforts. And get Mark Hughes in today he would jump at it, ambitous owners money to spend he would organize us, motivate us and give him 40 games would get us out of this division with his eyes closed, What's wrong with you my friend! We have played 5 freakin games and are in the top 10 and looking up the table. Have some faith in the manager, whoever he is, How can you even think of sacking a proven world class manager who has spent 14 million pounds to assemble his own team after 5 games, this would be beyond stupid! Sven should be given the whole season (unless we are 16th or something in Dec) and at the end of the season if he doesnt get us promoted then by all means think of letting him go. But remember this is his team that we are building so a new manager means everything from scratch, its a big risk. And Mark Hughes! Failed at Man City (Sven finished higher up the table than Hughes with Man City, with much lesser resources and even after the disastrous end to the season) and walked out on Fulham for the Villa job for which he was snubbed. Doesnt even play attractive enough football. My personal opinion is even if Sven is sacked at whatever stage we need a top top manager who has won big things in his career especially if we are looking at not just getting promoted but competing in the PL., Hughes would be a huge step down on Sven, I think. Ask Man City.. My humble view.
thybluefox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Hughes is an average manager at best. Where do you get off? Seriously.
