Guest MattP Posted 16 September 2011 Posted 16 September 2011 Do some people seriously think there will be 26,000+ there?
He's not bald Posted 16 September 2011 Posted 16 September 2011 Sell out...lots wanting to say goodbye to Sven
J.Lisemore Posted 16 September 2011 Posted 16 September 2011 Do some people seriously think there will be 26,000+ there? More chance of 2,600 turning up.
Fox92 Posted 16 September 2011 Posted 16 September 2011 Can't see why people are critisizing Brighton. They are not a big or well supported club like Southampton are. So, although they are near the top end of the league, I expect about 2k worth of Brighton fans. I'm going for 21,768 Who would pay to watch 4-5-1 at home? Us.
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 September 2011 Posted 16 September 2011 Think will see the biggest gate of the season on saturday and im going for 27 - 28k ? Why.... It'll be about the same as the Saints game... 22-23 k
BlueSi13 Posted 16 September 2011 Posted 16 September 2011 With our baffling tickets prices...can't ever really see us averaging over 24,000 at any point this season. 23,000 tomorrow i think.
THEFATBASTARD Posted 16 September 2011 Posted 16 September 2011 22, 421.5 I plan to collapse drunk as im going in, and be half in and half out..

I agree that prices in general are too high at the minute (hence the drop in attendances for most clubs this season)...but are we really worse than what's par for the course? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14367357.stm 22/23k tomorrow I think, even given the healthy away following. Which isn't too bad, when you consider that when we played Forest a few weeks ago (Saturday 3pm, not on TV), the attendance there was 24k...with 4k Leicester fans!

I think you answer your own question - no our prices aren't really worse than average but they are still too dear, so comparisons miss the point a little And as you've also alluded to, even though these prices put people off (even today people have said to me they would have gone tomorrow if it was a fiver/tenner cheaper) we still get better home crowds than most.

Eh? I was replying to a post which made mention of 'our baffling ticket prices'. So comparisons were surely valid.... Anyway, as you say, I think our home crowds are fine. Most clus in this league are already down on crowds from last year
broughtonblue Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 noticed that A1/A2 C1/C2 were almost full today, just the ticket prices of £20, surely this gives an indication to the owners that if the prices are right they will fill the stadium!
