Bugg Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Saying all this, your fans were shocking today, we completely out sung you through and through. Sorry, shut up, your fans were alright for about 20 minutes then they were dogshit.
martyn Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 The only thing I'm disappointed about our fans is that the Yuki Abe fooking dog chant is still doing the rounds. "Banter"
5waller5 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Being ill-educated is a great excuse for anything. Yes, not knowing the derivation of "faggot" = ill educated! And you are criticising people for stereotyping???
Kitchandro Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Being ill-educated is a great excuse for anything. How does that make me ill-educated? Because I don't know some useless but of info which has no impact on my life and I could only possibly know if someone had specifically told me? How many gay people, and people in general, know that? Is it taught in schools? Tell me how this has anything to do with my education? Get off your high horse you tosser
anotherharboroughfox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Saying all this, your fans were shocking today, we completely out sung you through and through. Singing 'we love you', how original. Could've sworn I heard 'you're only 1-0 up'?
Rincewind Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Pre 1960 fans of opposite used to mix together. The crowd applauded both teams and there was little use of foul or abusive language. If somebody swore there would be a chorus of 'Hush there are children and women near.' How times have changed. Fans are seperated to stop them fighting and the women and younger fans join in with the swearing and abuse of other fans. Personally It is something that is not exlusivly a footballs problem. It happens outside too. In schools and on the streets.
TheAlbion25 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Sorry, shut up, your fans were alright for about 20 minutes then they were dogshit. We out sung you when we were 1-0 down.
21st Century Fox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 How does that make me ill-educated? Would you use the word 'nigger' in banter?
I am Rod Hull Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 How does that make me ill-educated? I am Rod Hull Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Purely because its a word born out of hate. Would you use the word 'nigger' in banter? Again... So OTT.
Bugg Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 We out sung you when we were 1-0 down. You really didn't, shouting "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY" when the ball goes out of play now and again doesn't constitute to "out-singing" us. We weren't great, but claiming you "out-sung" us when you weren't even singing anyway really sounds stupid. Then again, what are we expecting from fans who chant "easy" when they are drawing 0-0?
Kitchandro Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 I would actually have much less of a problem if it were witty. Jimmy Carr can joke about race, rape and child abuse and get away with because he does it in a witty way. Some other comedians get a bad rap because they try to do the same with much less wit. A joke or chant about anything can be funny if it has some wit behind it. Why does it have to be witty? Some of it made me smile, not necessarily witty, but a bit funny all the same. In any case it's either wrong or it's not, I don't see what wit and humour has to do with it.
BoneDog Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 And as if some homosexual football fans have gone home this evening and cried in a toilet or something Oh there'll be a fair few of them crying in toilets tonight..........crying from their Japs-eyes! Ohhhhh Empty you don't half crack yourself up sometimes youth. High Five
21st Century Fox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Again... So OTT. How? People using words they don't even know the meaning of? I wouldn't say it was OTT at all.
Yojoe36 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Saying all this, your fans were shocking today, we completely out sung you through and through. When we "scored" our "first" goal. Your fans sat down and cried for the rest of the game. On your bike
anotherharboroughfox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Purely because its a word born out of hate. Would you use the word 'nigger' in banter? I do with my black friends. but I wouldn't say it to a random black person in the street.
Kitchandro Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Purely because its a word born out of hate. Would you use the word 'nigger' in banter? No because a black person might be massively offended by it. If I knew no black person within earshot would be offended and would find it funny I might, why not? Gay people, chilled out, normal gay people with a sense of humour, don't get offended by 'faggot' and don't care for it's original meaning. And back on the subject of the word 'nigger' - how many black people call each other that? Plenty. But do they get offended by each other? No, because it's in a friendly, banter context. Now, if everyone took that word light-heartedly, no matter who said it, like the majority do 'faggot', it wouldn't be offensive at all. They're just words and therefore context is important. Banter is banter, hate is hate. The intentions behind the words are so much more significant than the actual words.
FoxyPV Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Again, I agree. Saw lee Evans last Sunday. He ripped women apart. But they loved it. Why? Cos its comedy. Same as chants at a city game. Any game for that matter he has a fire extinguisher as a cock and it literally ripped them apart
BoneDog Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 If they're not, then hats off to them - they've gone to a bloody lot of effort to fool me! There's only one way to really find out. When you next visit take a skipping rope with you and casually leave it on top of the microwave and go about your normal business. If they're gay you will shortly thereafter hear high pitched shrieks of delight when they notice the skipping apparatus. If you hear nothing then they are just pretending to be gay so they can boink your mrs without suspicion.
Simmo86 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 We out sung you when we were 1-0 down. Away fans in outsinging home fans shocker!!! Suppose the AMEX is a cauldron of noise? Considering you WERE (snigger) top of the league before the game, your numbers and noise were nothing to write home about. As for taking the piss out of the number of empty seats before the game, we had an attendance today you can only dream about!
Kitchandro Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Just to make sure nobody thinks I'm racist - my main point is that the word 'nigger' is out of order because black people say it is. So I wouldn't use it. I'm not saying that word is acceptable. If my gay friends were offended by the word 'faggot' I'd make sure I wouldn't use it around them.
