He used to blow in peoples ears and wind us up, we gave some stick back. It was "banter", nothing more nothing less. I wish people would stop thinking how other people might feel..... jeeeez !

Agree 100% We all know that certain chants/banter is a little bit un called for, but the majority of what I heard today is just banter. I bet 99.9% of those so called "faggots" today were not offended and hear it at every game. I've heard worse chants than this one in particular aimed at our support and even about our team recently and there's never been a thread about them. As a wise man probably once said...... If offense was the main purpose of the chant there are alot of words which could have been chosen which don't contain any humour, meat or cereal ... seems like banter to me and i think it's pretty sad that people are falling over themselves these days to be the most politically correct and offended person on behalf of a group they don't belong to anyway.

Yes, you could argue that technically, Homophobia is as bad as racism. But in real life society, it's not. There are far more BNP voters than gay bashers around. Also, the racist chants by opposition fans may well be intended as banter, but some ethnic minorites might be actually offended by the chants. I know a couple of gay people, one is my best mate, and having spoken to them both on the matter previously, they would both be laughing their arse off at this shit thread.
