Fox92 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 City: Weale, Pantsil, Mills©, St Ledger, Ball, Dyer, Johnson, Moussa, Danns, Howard Schlupp Subs: Schmeichel, Peltier, King, Beckford, Abe, Fernandes, Kennedy Kennedy, that was a suprise for me. Maybe he has been playing well.
Floridafox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Why are people so optimistic by a midweek game, can't see us winning this one! Because our "Second 11" is better than their "Second 11"
Bugg Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Kennedy, that was a suprise for me. Maybe he has been playing well. Think he's only just come back from injury, which is why peterborough didn't sign him at the end of the season.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 On the site it says Ed Stagg 7-10 Probably just copy pasting the usual schedule. Happens sometimes, but yeah, it's on.
Libertine Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 What's the point in Berner still being here? Would have liked him to have gotten an appearance here really, bench at least.
Joe. Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 What's the point in Berner still being here? Would have liked him to have gotten an appearance here really, bench at least. Coaching purposes. That's likely to be the only reason he was persuaded to stay.
leicesterisme Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 What's the point in Berner still being here? Would have liked him to have gotten an appearance here really, bench at least. He's probably more involved with the coaching side of things nowadays, with it just not being official.
Fox92 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 I've just looked on the website... We beat Pompey in the Cup exactly a year ago today (Tuesday 21st September 2010). I didn't realise it was a year today. We then played Pompey on the TV (like Cardiff), and then played away at Norwich in mid week (they were near the top, as are Middlesbrough). Strange.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 City: Weale, Pantsil, Mills©, St Ledger, Ball, Dyer, Johnson, Moussa, Danns, Howard Schlupp Subs: Schmeichel, Peltier, King, Beckford, Abe, Fernandes, Kennedy Seeing that team does Sven want us to go through? Surely play Kasper in goal aswell cause then he can do his extremely long kicks and get it to Howard
Yojoe36 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Good squad It looks like Sven needs another look at Mills (which is no surprise)
Walshy5 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Cant believe he,s picked Weale! and looks like even Kennedy is above berner now WTF! That has actually only just reminded me that Kennedy is actually still here as i forgot all about him!
Joe. Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 It's the Carling Cup. Look at Cardiff's team and you'll see a very similar story.
Bilbo Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Of course Sven is going to play Weale instead of Kasper for this game. Getting into the Premier League has always been the main goal and with four difficult games coming up the last thing we need is for Schmeichel to get injured.
drc Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 what happened to all people who chanted Weales name last season - those people must at least think Weale is good even if the competition then was against Ricardo
Christoph Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 I kind of agree with the whole weale situation, but how often do Goalkeepers get injured though?
Number 6 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 A keeper is unlikely to get injured or fatigued but why take the risk? Also we might only need a card happy ref and some bad luck and could find ourselves without him in 3 league games. Saying that I feel that our chances of progressing are much lower with Weale between the sticks.
jonthefox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 do you think if we roll over tonight, they will on sunday?.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 You don't play your best side in the early stages of a competition like this. I think we will lose, but I would rather we concentrated on the league, without too much distraction.
Salieri Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Glad we're playing some fringe players, plus hoping Johnson has a blinder and plays his way into the first team. Anyone know the Cardiff line up?
MikeyT Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Cardiff City side to face Leicester City: Marshall, Quinn ©, Taylor, Keinan, Blake, McPhail, Kiss, Cowie, Mason, Gestede, Earnshaw. Subs: Santiago, Gerrard, Whittingham, Conway, Gunnarsson, Naylor, Evans.
Salieri Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Cheers Mikey. Not sure how far off their first team line up that is?
