It has been a problem for ages and it is why we haven't really produced many gems from relatively unknown players. Even with Sven I felt it was probably more of a case of agents phoning him up rather than us being proactive in the first place. I could be way wrong here but that was the impression I had and it was well documented that under Mandaric we basically didn't have a scouting network.

Yeah, he sacked my mate (our chief scout under Sousa) saying he didn't like his scouting reports & that they weren't of the quality he wanted. When my mate asked him what he wanted Sven showed him an example. The example was my mates reports for Paulo. Sven was a proper fvck wit & we're well rid! Oh, and by the way, the scout was chief scout for 10 years under Wenger at arsenal & 2 years at Chelsea with the moriniho (spelling?????)
