Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Schmeichel Peltier Bamba Mills Konchesky Wellens King Johnson Dyer Nugent Howard SUBS Schlupp Vassell (if fit) / Abe Danns Pantsil Fernandes Drop Beckford altogether for a couple of games
RoosterRussell92 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Maybe it's time for something different. I've been wondering if the old 3-5-2 we played under MON might be worth a shot: Kasper Peltier (right wing back) Schlupp (left wing back) St Ledger Mills Bamba Johnson Fernandes King Nugent Howard Subs: Weale, Panstil, Wellens, Dyer (if fit), Vassell Beckford is out as he's a lazy, petulant child who should be made to train with the academy boys.
Joe. Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I didn't even realise we had a game on Tuesday. Christ, we're terrible at Turf Moor. Schmeichel Peltier --- St Ledger --- Bamba --- Konchesky Fernandes Johnson --- King --- Danns Nugent --- Vassell (if fit)
accessory Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Schmeichel Peltier Mills © Bamba Konchesky Fernandes Wellens King Gallagher Nugent Schlupp Subs: Weale, Pantsil, Johnson, Danns, Howard As well as Howard played yesterday, we all know that these days he can't sustain that kind of impact over 90 minutes. Better to put in Gallagher who, as a good Blackburn lad, will have no problem about being fired up for this fixture. His friends and family will also significantly add to the hordes in the away end.
Narborough_fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Can't make my mind up about the team but now im thinking this.... Weale, St. Ledger, Fernandes, Schlupp, Beckford Why, just why? King out wide on the right when he's clearly best behind the striker and Danns left mid when his favoured position is Central midfield or Right mid.

He played on the left at birmingham and Derby, then just kept switching sides
Narborough_fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 He played on the left at birmingham and Derby, then just kept switching sides And he was best out right hitting the best right hitting the post and working well with Pelts. If we did go with the front 3 you suggested it would have to be; Nugent - King - Danns Only way it works in my eyes
DanTheFox07 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Johnson and Howard to start against burnley! howard second half showed this team what we have been missing all season and had bag`s of passion!
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Schmichael Peltier Mills Bamba Koncheskey Danns Wellens King Dyer Howard Nugent Subs; Weale Panstil Johnson Abe / Fernandes Beckford / Schlupp
Number 6 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 It's kind of worrying that I feel we really need to pick something up from this game before our season becomes more hope than expectation. A loss could leave us in that horrid middle ground and whilst I do feel we may be capable of a decent run, we saw last year how difficult it is to catch up to the teams at the top. Soton and West ham are showing no signs of slowing.
VinceNoir Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Kasper Peltier Mills Bamba Konchesky Johnson Wellens King Dyer Danns Nugent Subs: Weale SSL Fernandes Schlupp Howard 4-3-3 going forward 4-5-1 when defending. I don't understand why Danns has been out of the squad in the last three games. He's looked good in the games I've seen on TV. With it being an away match, I think Johnson may be the key. He will be able to slow things down when it's necessary as well as playing a part in our attacking play. Hopefully King will power forward and have some confidence after his brace against West Ham. Btw, just seen his second goal on FoxesPlayer. Belter!
Dr The Singh Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I would like the same team that finished against WH, except Dyer on the wing for Johnson!
Ric Flair Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Schlupp and Nugent either side of Howard. I can't believe i'm championing Howard to start but he was superb against West Ham.

foxoffderby Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I would drop Konchesky, St Ledger and Wellens and bench Beckford assuming Dyer and Vassell are injured Wellens and Konch have been poor for a number of games now.SSL is a total waster dont want him anywere near the defence. Shame Dyer got injured he was decent against Millwall and West Ham. Howard must start. Plan B is the new Plan A Schmicheal Peltier Bamba Mills Berner/Ball King Danns Johnson Howard Nugent Schlupp Weale, Pantsil, Gelson,Beckford Abe
Fox92 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Beckford needs a strike partner. His attitude might be poor, but I think Howard needs to be up top with him so Beckford can play off of him, like he did with Becchio at Leeds. Howard might not be too mobile anymore, but I have seen that his impact against Derby and West Ham in particular is still good enough to rough up defences and give us something to aim at. I would drop Bamba and bring Mills back in as captain. Nugent and Vassell would offer pace out wide with Nugent playing more of an inside-forward role. Danns would inject pace into the central midfield area meaning King would drop out which some of you might not want to see, but he doesn't do enough for me. Meaning my team would be something like; Kasper Peltier -- Mills -- St. Ledger -- Konchesky Nugent -- Wellens -- Danns -- Vassell Howard -- Beckford Subs: Bamba, King, Johnson, Dyer (injured?), Schlupp This is another game I am fearing though. We need a dominant manager in fast, someone who can motivate and add discipline to the squad. Burnley obviously hammered Blackpool on Saturday but that was a local derby they would have been up for. This game is a little different, and it depends which Leicester comes out to play; the first half at West Ham was horrible but I felt like we were getting somewhere in the second half and we did look better.
Ashley Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Burnley haven't lost at home on a Tuesday night in 4 years. Was on the Phone in earlier.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Tough game away against Burnley, 1-1 draw
bettso Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Play Howard from the start and he'll be shit. He'll give away loads of free kicks and will have little or no effect. If he comes on as sub he'll look good and perhaps change the game. I'd be tempted to go for: - Kasper Pelts Mills Bamba Konchesky Gallagher King Johnson Schlupp Nugent Beckford Subs - Weale, Pantsil, Howard, Wellens, Danns Beckford has been a disgrace so far but he is a good player so by the law of averages he's got to have a decent game sooner or later. Have Gally and Schlupp providing some width and just ****ing play with some freedom and pride. If at half time Beckford is still shit and it's going gash, Kasper Peltier Mills Bamba Konchesky Johnson King Danns Schlupp Howard Nugent
LCFC_DAN Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Schmeichel Peltier Mills Bamba Konchesky Danns Wellens Johnson King Nugent Howard SUBS : Weale , Paintsil , Fernandes , Gallagher , Schlupp
