ramadaone Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Can't help thinking Stowell is giving us the passion required and Rudkin the brains ? Could they be a long term solution ?
Father Ted Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Yes I think so. Look at how successful Rudkin has been with the academy.
Corky Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 No, but I think Rudkin could be used in a higher capacity.
Langston Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Let's hire the caretaker, he's doing a cracking job.....
MikeyT Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Let's hire the caretaker, he's doing a cracking job..... Coulda trimmed his nasal hair.
Kent Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Love how on the back of one win people are saying they should be permanent manager & assistant. If we'd have lost then everyone would be insisting we appoint someone tomorrow morning.
m00nie Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 back to one win and carried away again... not long term for me..
Finnegan Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Let's hire the caretaker, he's doing a cracking job..... Exactly. Ridiculously knee-jerk reaction. People are questioning Clark and OGS for experience but, oh I know, let's hire a couple of coaches that took over once or twice when a gaffer was sacked. Christ.
Tielemans63 Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 No, but I think Rudkin could be used in a higher capacity. Good point. I'm not claiming to have loads of inside knowledge or to know a single one of the players but I know John Rudkin as he and my dad have been friends for years. He's an understated guy, loves what he does and I honestly don't think he'd want the exposure of being a manager.
Corky Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Love how on the back of one win people are saying they should be permanent manager & assistant. If we'd have lost then everyone would be insisting we appoint someone tomorrow morning. Quite right. They've got us three important points and will probably now move back to their previous duties having done okay.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Stowell is the one if you want motivation. Rudkin has the tactics. Together you have a winning combination. They are the answer.

Guest MattP Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Nonsense. Give me one caretaker turned permanent appointment that has ever been successful. That said this > Roy Keane
Thracian Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Can't help thinking Stowell is giving us the passion required and Rudkin the brains ? Could they be a long term solution ? When it comes to tactics you shouldn't ignore Beaglehole as well. The Academy Under 18's have a great record and have always shown a bit of style. The management team today know our club, know our fans and know our players. They'll also fit in far bettr than I believe Keane will do. That said I'd still like OGS!
Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Nonsense. Give me one caretaker turned permanent appointment that has ever been successful. That said this > Roy Keane

James18 Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 If they are in charge against Leeds and we win then I'd recommend giving them a go at it full-time. Not going to happen though, they will want a big name.

yorkie1999 Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Thats spot on but the important variable is if. Think about it
GH1 Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Your being emotional, let's appreciate what he's doing but he's not for the full time position

People are questioning Clark and OGS for experience but, oh I know, let's hire a couple of coaches that took over once or twice when a gaffer was sacked. Christ. it's not going to happen anyway but Rudkin, Stowell and Beaglehole have stacks of experience between them and probably know the emerging players of the football world as well as anyone. If you put a vote up I'd be surprised if they wouldn't be a more popular choice than Keane which is what I think the reaction's about rather than the two you mention.
