Joe. Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 When everybody is fit (which is never likely): Hart Richards --- Terry --- Smalling --- Cole Johnson --- Parker --- Wilshere --- Young Gerrard Rooney
Finchy Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 How can people not have Gerrard in their team! He's the best player we have FFS! Is he ****. Maybe in 2006.
potter3 Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Leighton Baines? Thought I might adopt him, more of a winger though. Only because he isn't as good as Cole, and is sometimes defensively questionable. He is very good going forward though and his crossing is like, the best in the Premier League. Will it work? Maybe, but if it's effectively 5 man midfield I'd prefer somebody less defensively inclined, like Johnson.
ousefox Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Is he ****. Maybe in 2006. We have no players on par with Gerrard except Rooney. Just because he's been injured he seems to have been forgotten about. Should be captain instead of Terry too.

RowlattsFox Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Lescott had a good game yesterday, but most other times he has looked out his depth? One good game and he's in every ones team. Shame Richards hasn't been given a go but Capello clearly doesn't rate him and its unlikely he'll get a chance, that leaves Johnson, Walker or Smalling. And it could be any of those. Hart Smalling Cahill Terry Cole Wilshere Parker Rooney Gerrard Young Bent
Langston Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Micah Richards has to be first choice right back, fast realising all that potential he showed as a youngster. Easily the best option England have in that position.
NGoloMode Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Would have loved to see a manager try Gerrard and Lampard in a 3 in midfield with a holding midfielder.. Think its too late though. Hart Richards - Jones - Terry - ColeParkerGerrard - WilshereJohnson -------------------------- YoungRooney
Finchy Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Lescott had a good game yesterday, but most other times he has looked out his depth? One good game and he's in every ones team. Or maybe it's because he's been outstanding for Man City this year. I'd still personally go for Jones though, he is starting to look seriously good.

Tielemans63 Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 McEachran at Chelsea is going to be a hell of a player I'm sure. He and Wilshere will be up there with the best in 5 years or so.
Bugg Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 McEachran at Chelsea is going to be a hell of a player I'm sure. He and Wilshere will be up there with the best in 5 years or so. He'll only be a hell of a player if Chelsea send him on loan somewhere to get some much needed experience. If he's not playing regularly I doubt he'll live up to that potential.
Tielemans63 Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Gary fucking Cahill. Jesus. He's not that good.
Jaspa Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 ------------------------- Hart -- Jones/Richards -- Terry -- King/Lescott -- Cole -- --------- Rodwell/Parker -- Wilshire -- Walcott ------- Gerry/Lamps ------- Milner/Young -- ----------------- Roo / Carroll Bent wouldn't make my bench Glenn J & Welbeck wouldn't be involved at all Wickham & Sturridge would be around The rest writes itself really I made another one of these in the WC 2014 thread -
Tielemans63 Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I'd get shot of JT right away - horribly over-rated. So he'll put his head in where it hurts and he can shout a lot but can he pass accurately? Does he have pace? Does he have great positional sense? No, not anymore and not really, no.
gazfox9 Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I can't believe how many people are picking Welbeck. If he wasn't at Man Utd nobody would give him a second glance. Distinctly average.
Finchy Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I can't believe how many people are picking Welbeck. If he wasn't at Man Utd nobody would give him a second glance. Distinctly average. Pretty big 'if' The fact is he IS at Man United because he's good enough and he is scoring goals for them.
Guest shearfox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I can't believe how many people are picking Welbeck. If he wasn't at Man Utd nobody would give him a second glance. Distinctly average. You will find he is playing and scoring for Man United for a reason...
gazfox9 Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Pretty big 'if' The fact is he IS at Man United because he's good enough and he is scoring goals for them. Not debating who he plays for, just my belief is that Bent, Defoe, Sturridge and even Crouch are better players. Time will tell.
Super_horns Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Anyone think Walker and even Rodwel/Jones could seek into the squad if the likes of Gerrard aren't fit? They did well tonight. Young will be the key out wide as I'm not convinced by our other widemen. Up front...I think Capello will take Bent and Zamora as they offer 2 different options.
Langston Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 Not debating who he plays for, just my belief is that Bent, Defoe, Sturridge and even Crouch are better players. Time will tell. Sturridge over Welbeck? Really? The lad can't hit a ball for crying out loud. Promising talent but needs to get to grips with how to strike a ball, in my opinion his shooting is awful.
AyewJoking Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 Hart Richards Jones Cahill Cole Walcott Parker Wilshere Young Rooney Bent
Tielemans63 Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 Now Walker is in the squad - Richards should be too IMHO and therefore I'd get rid of Glen Johnson altogether - never been fully convinced by him.
