cambridgefox Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I sing everywhere in the house. I also talk to myself everywhere in the house. I mean, full on conversations. My flatmate occasionally catches me at it and I've gotten to the point where I'm not even embarrassed or self-conscious about it. ... I'm done sharing. same here, im on the road most of the time and talk to myself in the car, chuckling at my own crap jokes, sometimes forget when the kids get in the car.Blank looks and questions about it!!!

The Doctor Posted 14 November 2011 Author Posted 14 November 2011 Well of course I am. But I'm pretty sure both of the voices are me. I think you need to be committed, that just isn't right. Even if I do tend to talk to myself - I just remind myself of things I need to do. Although I also sing walking down the street.
The Doctor Posted 14 November 2011 Author Posted 14 November 2011 mind if i come and listen ? pervy bastard!
Fox92 Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Good programme about George Harriso on BBC2 last night. Missed some of it. Think it was in two parts. Hard to believe really that they gave up touring after 1966. Typical Americans over-reacted over a mis-quoted statement by Johm Lennon George was a well liked person though. Willing to help anyone. When the Monty Python team came up with the idea of Life of Brian, he was so kenn on it he mortgaged his house to fund it. Started up Handmade Films. He was into a lot of things and had friends in all areas. Jackie Steart said of all the friends that had been lost in racing and non-racicing George is the one person that he misses the most. I watched the first part, and have the second part recorded but haven't got round to watching it yet. Maybe tomorow. I find it hard to believe that the Beatles achieved what they did in the little time. And yeah, they gave up touring because they nobody could hear the music because of the girls. All four seem like nice people, and I would love to have a word with them (obviously only Paul and Ringo left). In fact, when we played West Ham, earlier in the day we walked round to McCartney's house, but nothing, as expected. Very sad to think how it ended though. Both John and George died very young. I still believe if John would have stayed in Liverpool/England, he wouldn't have been killed. As for George, I think he took the most drugs and smoked more than the other three, and although his death was noted as cancer, I think that his attack didn't help because I think the attacker punctured one of George's lung. 10 years this 29th (November) George died. I still think George Harrison's work is underrated, Beatles and solo work. Obviously with John Lennon and Paul McCartney, I imagine it would have been hard, but some of George's music is fantastic, for example, "Something" was described as the "greatest love song ever". His solo work is underrated as well. People don't seem to mention George's solo music as much as Lennon and McCartney, and there is more to George Harrison than "My Sweet Lord". I have his solo compilation album, and I have to say the work on their is great - "All Things Must Pass", "All Those Years Ago", "My Sweet Lord", "What Is Life?" etc People often ask the question, "if you could choose three people ever to meet who would it be?" And I have to say, my first two would be John Lennon and George Harrison.

StanSP Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Would the third be Paul McCartney? Poor Ringo Starr
ajthefox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I'm more prone to randomly singing regardless of where I am. Similar story for me. I sing a lot generally but not really that much in the shower. If I do it'll just be what's in my head, too.
Alexikokopops Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 The shower is just one of the many places I sing. I found myself booming out a combination of Chromeo, Holy Ghost! and Lionel Richie at work this afternoon. Nothing like a bit of variety. I reckon I'm nailed on for a promotion if I carry on like this.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I sing in the shower and the kitchen but no where elsein the house. Also like to boom out crap attempts whilst driving. I will sing anything badly in the car and not always the right words if I do not know the song that well.
Corky Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I talk to myself. It's good because it rarely ends up in an argument.

Zingari Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I find it's the only way to get intelligent conversation. Are you one of those decorators that constantly whistle cheery ( but totally unrecognizable ) tunes? do decorators have to learn this at college ?
lavrentis Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Are you one of those decorators that constantly whistle cheery ( but totally unrecognizable ) tunes? do decorators have to learn this at college ? !
Webbo Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Are you one of those decorators that constantly whistle cheery ( but totally unrecognizable ) tunes? do decorators have to learn this at college ? Of course not, I can't whistle. I do sing very badly though.
Zingari Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Of course not, I can't whistle. I do sing very badly though. oh i thought all decorators did it I’ve often thought that decorators can communicate with each other by whistling, and what the customer believes to be just a cheery tune is actually a secret coded message to their mates. You’re probably criticizing the curtains and carpets and choice of colour scheme, and actually having a good old laugh at our expense

I am Rod Hull Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I have some military marches on my mp3 player and tend to march walk in-step to them when walking the dog... So if you see someone walking through the National Forest on the Derbyshire / Leicestershire boarder in quick time to Prussian Gloria with a Jack Russell struggling to keep up, that`ll be me...
