Does forgotten man Moussa have a role to play?

Now NP is back, I personally would like to see Moussa given some fair crack of the whip. Could he be a winger?? Maybe he could provide a spark - don't think he has let us down before.

Why........on what evidence do you think he's good enough?

He's League 1 at best!

On what I have seen of him, I don't think he is good enough. We have far better quality in midfield, and Nigel will have the money to bring better quality in.

Did some good work on the right, a problem position as Danns has been far from great there, Moussa can dribble well like Vassell can up front, but Moussa ran towards the box rather than the corner flag

hopefully everyone has a clean slate & everyone is given worthy consideration

It all comes down to what formation NP can make out of all these central midfielders, but as it stands Moussa is a contender for the right side of whatever formation he plays (other than 4-3-3, which he won't anyway)

Someone I'd like to see more of but its difficult to see him getting a chance, could really do with the 7 subs, because we could put him on in circumstances and give him a go. 5 subs really restricts us.

I really like him but I don't know if that's just because he's awesome for me on fm lol. He did have a good game against Cardiff in the cup, seems like a flair player

Too right - has to be a Plan B or C. Then again, is Johnson that player for us now though??

I may be wrong but from what I've seen of Johnson so far he seems like a sensible player that holds the ball up and picks out the intelligent balls (wouldn't say he had much flair) good player though

Yeah I suppose.. good enough for me then 'championing' Moussa's chance.

Well we all know that NP likes to play with width and therefore wingers and with the lack there of in the squad, i'd certainly expect to see Franck back in the mix very soon. Although we have a strong squad, you have to say that it's incredibly unbalanced, with 6 central midfielders and arguably one out and out winger in Lloyd Dyer.

I think NP will certainly be dipping back into the transfer market in January, but the main priority right now is stability and consistency and i'm confident NP will help to bring that back.

Bringing NP back is a massive "up yours" to Mandaric and Hoos too, which i'm pleased about seeing as they let him leave and replaced him with Sousa before they went!!

I remember Moussa doing a decent job wide in some of the early Carling Cup rounds and he'd get a good few chances with 7 subs but as we only have 5, can't see much happening. He'll have to wait for an injury or two...

I've got a couple of Southend supporting mates - they were actually fairly gutted when he left Roots Hall, they rated him as a really accomplished little player. I honestly don't think we've seen enough of him to decide whether 'he's not good enough at this level,' sporadic Carling Cup appearances and the odd league cameo isn't really a significant enough grounding on which to judge a player's abilities.

He's nothing special in my eyes but if we can't get a right winger in asap and another left winger then perhaps he could offer us something short term. I'd like to think we have more ambitions than him and Lloyd Dyer though.

I don't think moussa will have much of a role this season but will be interesting to see what happens with regard to moreno because didnt Pearson try and sign him for hull?

From what I've seen of Franck he's decent but his final ball can be iffy. I agree with earlier coment that he's prob q good L1 player - not quite Champ level.
