5 year anniversary

Recommended Posts

Posted

Ok it's mine and my lovely ladies 5 year anniversary this weekend, the usual candle lit meal and early to bed is of the cards as we have a friend staying with us who is going through a bit of a hard time (also can't ask him to leave the house for the night as he has no money or friends near by)

I am on a budget and have promised a memorable day / night of surprises - i know, dug myself a right hole haven't i.

Any input would be helpful (other than threesome etc)

Thanks

you are screwed.

try some free stuff?

like go for a walk somewhere pretty (bradgate park, swithland woods etc.)

maybe grab some food out, doesn't have to cost much.

Write a poem for her and read to her while eating (free).

buy some cheap flowers from a petrol station and they get up in the night or v early and use the petals to make a little trail to say a card in a cupboard or something with a thoughtfil message in

get her breakfast in bed start of the day etc.

just bits like that, be thoughtful and romantic - will go down as well as something expensive

You could treat her and allow her to sleep with your unhappy lodger?

Two birds one stone and all that?

After the first two and a bit lines I thought you were gonna say the missus donut is full of jam.

What's the deal with calling it a "5 year anniversary"? That "year" is superfluous, much better as "5th anniversary". C'mon people, learn your Latin!

Anyway, go with the romantic walk, etc.

I suggest you get her a card and tell her you wanted to do something special but with your mate being there it wouldnt be good enough as you just wanted to be with her on your special day.postpone it for another night when you are alone.Test the water with this one as she has a handy replacement at your house waiting in the wings if she thinks you are dodging it!!

I find Kinder eggs are a win win. Chocolate AND a toy !!! You can also use the toy case as very small pastry cutters for scones just in case the Smurfs drop in on the off chance for tea...

WIN WIN WIN !!!
