Cov v Derby a few weeks back...

Cannot ****ing stand the police or stewards. I'm sure these kind of incidents would actually happen less if they didn't have a presence in the stands, unlikely as that might sound.

Good to see the Cov fans making an effort to stand up for themselves to be fair.

One extra point, it takes something special for Cov fans to make another group of humans look like vile scum in comparison! lol

Pretty sure a "SISU out" banner featured on the Football League show on Saturday.

Hope we never end up with owners as dire as them.

Our stewards are right idiots aswell! I was casually climbing down the steps, OVER the seats not actually touching the seats after the game Saturday which I do every game, and a steward come up as I step over he wacks my leg away and says 'noone ever comes down here so why you trying it' or something along them lines! Hate em! All a bunch of up there own arse pregnant goldfish!

The police and stewards clearly had no control over the crowd what so ever, where were the rest of the police when the fans were pushing them down the stairs ?

Did **** all wrong, over the top coppers as per usual.

lol you what?

How do you know that originally there wasn't an offence that had taken place off of camera without the Police being present?

Should the Police ignore it simply because it's in a football ground and there's a few mindless thugs threatening to kick off? No. They're well within their rights to intervene.

Yes, sometimes they aggravate situations, but I don't think they've done a lot wrong here from what I can see...

I've been to enough football matches to know that in 99% of cases when police and stewards get involved, there's actually no need for them to do so and they only aggravate the situation. Often seems like they enjoy pissing people off too, perhaps because it's boring policing a well-behaved crowd - they need to give themselves something to do...

Actually the whole incident started when a fan asked a copper why he wasn't displaying his identification number (a legal requirement), this apparently warranted him to get ejected. The case went to court where the fan allegedly recieved two black eyes whilst in police custody, the copper said it was "too hot" for him to where his normal jacket with his number on and the fan has been given a three year ban.

They fell down quicker than their team, cant wait for them to drop down to the Blue Square when they can have a proper derby game against Nuneaton.
