Who to drop?

"Pearson threatens to wield the axe"!

Who should he drop, your views please.

I think he has his hands tied to a certain extent until he can bring in new faces in January.

I for one certainly feel King should be dropped i have said for a long time now he does not bring anything to the midfield at the moment.

Bamba is another one but possibly play him in midfield,St Ledger "where is his international form"?

My two centre backs would be Mills and Tunchev,i know Mills has struggled for consistency but i think we need to keep faith in him.

Gallagher's mentality is questionable, seems a bit of a powder puff of a player.

Wellens is he lacking the quality around him or just not fit enough?

Until Pearson can sign a real quality winger and real quality creative midfielder with the right mentality

and get stuck in this is the team i would believe in for the moment.

My team for Ipswich.

Schmeichal

Peltier Mills Tunchev Schlupp

Nugent (for now) Fernandes Johnson Dyer

Beckford Howard (for now)

Can't really blame frankie, the strikeforce scored a goal as in the previous game.

The only striker that currently starts that is a safe bet is Nugent for Pearson.

Beckford get's slated for being a lazy sod, Howard for being brought back from the dead and Schlupp for being to young and raw.

What with Vassel being injured and Gallagher of little use up front that leaves limited options.

If the midfield was made of sterner stuff the one goal scored in each of our last games might have been enough.

This would be a team i would like to see boxing day.

Kasper

Peltier - Mills © - Tunchev - Konchesky

Gallagher - Danns - Fernandes - Dyer

Schlupp - Nugent

Subs: Weale, Abe, Wellens, King, Beckford

I'd try a back 5

Kasper

Mills - Bamba - Tunch

Peltier --------------------------- Schlupp

Abe

Fernandes ---------------King

Beckford - Nugent

Other than that Fernandes deserves a nod, but I don't think he wants to play, if not we're stuck

Has Schlupp ever played Full or Wing back?

For me it would have to be

--------------------------Schmeichel

Peltier-------------Mills------------St Ledger-------Konchesky

--------------------------------Abe

--------------------Fernandes-----King

Dyer --------------------------------------------------Schlupp

------------------------------Nugent

Subs: Tunch, Johnson, Wellens, Gallagher, Beckford

Only in one friendly under Sven in the summer... think he was promising & matchday isn't the place to try it... But desperate times call for desperate measures & breaking from the back with pace is the modern way

Think we desperately need some pace there though & with a '3' behind him he just needs to tackle back & make a nuisance of himself rather than have absolute defensive positional awareness like he would as a LB in a back 4

Ahh fair play, got to say I've thought we could do with a back 5 and a couple of wingbacks to overcome our chronic lack of width at many points this season, at least til january. All a bit late if you ask me though.

The entire midfield + plus Howard - Why the f*** he started in the first place is beyond me.

I would drop:

Gallagher

Dyer

King

Wellens

Howard

Because Pearson likes playing a big man. Look at when he was last here, Howard started most games, and when he signed Adebola for Hull.

I have nothing against him playing a big man, but we need a more mobile one, such as Chris Wood.

Schlupp for Konchesky? I know we are weak in some positions and need to take a few gambles right now but is left back/wing back really 1 of them?

here is my idea

you start with:

Schmeichel

Peltier

Mills

Tunchev

Bamba

Konchesky

Danns

Abe/Gallagher

King

Schlupp/Beckford

Nugent

now what this will allow you to do is allow to to attack and defend well here are a few examples:

This as a 4-4-2 would give us more balance with Bamba giving us more strength allowing players such as less physical Abe/Gallagher, King to be more offensive

It will also allow us to be able to play wider using Peltier and Konchesky as wing backs/wingers as we can switch to 3 at the back using Mills, Bamba and Tunchev

Although I think Abe might be more beneficial in this selection I have also allowed for Gallagher to play in a similar role due to recent rumours of Abe being on his way out. I have also disregarded Fernandes and Johnson for the same reason

Forgot about Moussa, he is a long forgotten man who vanished under Sven and has not been seen since

I saw him at the Great Loughborough Santa Fun Run the other week. Seems to have vanished again since...

Always liked a back 5 myself, but it would have to be Konch instead of Schlupp, wing backs have to be able to do the defensive duty and Konch proved he can bomb up and down all day against Hull,

Kasper

Bamba - Mills - Tunch

Peltier -------------------------- Konchesky

Fernandes ------King

Gally

Beckford - Nugent

That is how I would line 'em up, the extra defensive capabilities means we can afford Gally in the side.

Subs Dyer (LW, LWB) Abe (RB, RWB, CM) SSL (CB) Schlupp (CF) Weale

A solid base, which is what all teams need, Mills in the middle of back 5 Bamba and Tunch to bring the ball out from the back, Peltier and Konch providing width. Gally with the creativity and actually playing in his best position.

Might work, we will never find out.

Sorry I hate moaning about players but I don't rate Danns and wouldn't have him in my 16.

Were lacking big time in midfield areas, yet we have options at the back, why not utilise them!!
