Nigel Pearson targets former charge Cameron Stewart

Well, they will try and get as much money as possible for him. understandable...

I wouldnt be suprised however if Barmby has been told he has no money to strengthen the squad unless he generates his own...

Look at the language their chairman AND Barmby are using... they havnt said he is not for sale they have just said the offer is not good enough.

Very good point and i can't help the feeling that Barmby wouldn't mind doing business with Nigel and it would get him Hull fans mutual support for making a profit on a player and then using that profit to buy more players for Hull. It would also show the Hull chairman that Barmby has ambition and doesn't just want to tend to Pearsons Hull garden and kick start the makings of his own team.

HULL CITY: Cameron Stewart suitors warned he’s not for sale

Caretaker boss Barmby was similarly unfazed by the approach.

He said: “Nige knows how they can play, so I don’t think it surprised anyone at the club.

“It’s not really a bid. It would take an awful lot of money for some of our lads to go out the door.

“We certainly don’t want to lose anyone and I’d be very disappointed if anyone leaves.”

£1m gets his left foot.

£3m you can have his left leg.

£5m you can have him from the waist down.

£8m and 50% of what you sell him for when a BIG club come in for him, and he's yours!

Yeah righteo... bought for 300k and you think he's worth that much after about 14 games. Dream on.

What you lost on the trot now? Is it 3 games, did you ever lose that many in a row under Pearson... honeymoon is well and truly over now!!!

Fvck em then If barmby is just the chairmans pet lacky then let him have NP's team but there is no way we would bid £8m for a player Nigel previously acquired for 300k :lei1:

Have they considered that Stewart might want to go? for one he would get a much bigger wage packet.....

You would like to think he wouldn't come here just for the money, but rather as seen as progression.

You hull really do chat sh*t you try to make out that we bid 3.5m yet it was 1m then you make out that we would only get him for 8m!!

You did't believe that £3.5m thing did you? Oh dear!!

At the end of the day its down to the player and if he is happy at Hull, if they want the likes of Sharp and Harper they will sell to buy but if its as brilliant up there as the Hull fans that post on here make out surely no one will leave.

Look at Maynard, we bid 5/8 million, Bristol say no and a few months down the line Wolves tempt them with a 1 million offer, or he will go for free in the summer, its up to him but he cant be happy with Bristol or he would have signed a new contract, he wants out, do Stewart, Chester & Koren ?

Come to Leicester lads, its brilliant... ;0)

Did hull not say the same when we made an approach for Pearson? ...

Just wait for the dreaded ' I want to talk to Leicester ' statement! lol

Adam Pearson the Hull City chairman doesn't like us does he. "Wouldn't want to do business with a club like Leicester. Last club on Earth".

No, apart from taking our manager in 2010 and then subsequently three of our players (Fryatt, Hobbs and Waghorn).

Hull City, what a shit club.

So glad we can buy whoever we want, including any of Hulls hot prospects.

Just like we wanted Nicky Maynard, and we bought him...?

It's not always as simple as having money is it.

Can undestand Strov being here, the Hull message boards are pretty slow and boring though at time's informative.

Seen that Hull have no plan B under barmby who only want's passing football used and maybe they have been sussed by other team's which is why they have lost their last three game's.

A good manager know's that you mix thing's up a bit.

The season McGhee left us he had started well with nice passing football but then started to fail.

O'niell came in and said that other team's had sussed our style of play and that you had to mix thing's up.

O'niell took us up eventually, McGhee as we know ended up getting sacked.

As for their winger's, apparently they are struggling to beat their first man with a cross at present , over rated, sussed out or head not in the right place?

and about 4 point`s ahead of us in the league? if stewart has a brain, then he will surely see we have more potential 2nd half of the season and get better wages!

I don't want us paying over the odds for this kid. Pearson has plucked him and a number of other promising youngsters from relative obscurity (both during his first spell here and obviously, later at Hull), so there's no reason why he won't do it again. I'm sure Nige and his back room staff have plenty of other targets in mind. I hope so anyway. The thought of us paying millions for the likes of Stewart who was priced at £300k just a year ago does not sit well with me at all.

He's probably thinking of supporting us once they flop and we buy there best young players..

It will be 'strovolos fox' by mid feb lol lol

No wonder other fans hate us with that attitude, we aren't Man City.

Frankly I couldn't give a toss, I don't care too much for most other clubs either. Besides it takes 2 to tango, everyone ese has wanted us to fail whether we had an 'attitude' or not, and they've no secret of it, so they can take some back.

Anyway, £8 million? :crylaugh:
