As far as I'm aware there was an update earlier yesterday and your steam might have had a wobble applying it. No need to panic, just right click on Football Manager on Steam, go to "Preferences > Local Files" and then "Verify Integrity of Game Cache." If this then brings you a different error message, relax, you'll just need to Verify again and restart Steam. Sounds like a lot of hassle but it'll work and only take a couple of minutes. I know this because I had the same problem last night.

As with last year they're based on the theory of 8, 14, 20 being the only slider positions you need to use (8 to retain, 14 to improve, 20 to greatly improve - above 20 doing very little more.) I've literally just put these together now and am yet to say the effect but, unless there's been wholesale changes to the maths of training by SI (which I doubt) they should be as effective as last year. Will do tactics at some point over the weekend or on Monday.

I can't afford an Audi R8 but I'm not going to nick one from Blackbird Road. I have very mixed feelings about so-called "piracy" (what we used to just call lending your mate a game) but despite input from SEGA, SI are still a pretty small company and this is their one major source of income. You can't really be on here discussing the legal download of the game and expect Ricey (an SIGames employee) to not be annoyed. Nobody can stop you downloading it but you could at least keep quiet about it and stop giving others the justification to follow suit.

If you look through the thread there's actually Premier League ones on about page three or four. Whoever started the thread is making a really, really shit go of updating the first post. I hope it will gather steam because at the moment it's a little bit quiet. But last year they got basically all the players you need. So I mean, if you're not overly picky you COULD just re-use last years. One thing I will say, though, is that this year's default skin doesn't compliment them very well. They're shrinking down a little bit and don't quite look as good as they did last year. I'm hoping there'll be some good skins out in the next few weeks that improve the situation. Oh and also keeping my eye onthese, if people start making packs of them I'd be interested.

You don't have to do it player by player. Most facepacks will be by league or by team or whatever. Like I said, the DF10s this season are really randomly organized at the moment, friggan's just done them in random blocks of 100 odd players at a time.
