Malinki Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 First FM I've sat and played for a good while since 2009 and I'm loving it, guided city to league cup success in 1st season with a penalty win over villa, currently lie third in the championship after leading till January. Seem to have hit a real rubbish patch of form tho with 12 games to go No real quality signings, just plenty of cheap, mainly Spanish chaps recommended by my scouting team and flogging fvukin wellens

I have tried it online and offline on steam and keep getting an error message saying game is unavailable at the moment. This is the first time im starting to hate steam. I have the disk in my laptop and just waiting to play it
Finnegan Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 No need to panic, just right click on Football Manager on Steam, go to "Preferences > Local Files" and then "Verify Integrity of Game Cache." If this then brings you a different error message, relax, you'll just need to Verify again and restart Steam. Sounds like a lot of hassle but it'll work and only take a couple of minutes. I know this because I had the same problem last night.

Finnegan Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I have him as a lonepoacher and he's done alright, quickly gained points in speed and acceleration with my training schedule and a focus on finishing brought that along nicely, too. I'm about to hit my third season and I full intend to have him lead the line to see how drastically his stats improve - I'll keep you posted.
Petchy Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Could anyone help me out here? Everytime I go to use the Editor it says it can't find 'data' folder. Yet, the data folder is in the correct directory etc?! EDIT: Fixed. For some reason it created a 'special folders.xml' file which kept trying to make the program access the files from an incorrect directory. Just deleted that and it works fine now!

Deniz Naki for 95k in January was a bargain and with Magaye Gueye on loan my wingers are tight. 38 odd games in and 2 points off 3rd and 5 points off 2nd. Bugg Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 How's Pier Larrauri developing for people on here? I got Yuki Abe tutoring him and his stats are going up pretty quickly and I'm only in August of the first season. His mental stats are a weak though so I doubt he'll do much.
stripeyfox Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Finished 4th in the table. Recovered from a 4-1 pasting at Blackpool in the play off semi with a rather brilliant 5-1 win in the second leg. A rousing Wembley final ended in dissapointment. 1-1 at full time, Reading quickly added two extra time goals. Andy King's late goal gave me hope but Reading ended up 3-2 winners. Now the close season. Seem to have a problem with all my staff's contracts expiring and not wanting to negotiate a new one!

I had Verratti at CM as a playmaking type and Berty at AMC as a Treq. Core of my team. Finished 7th first Prem season, a point off 6th. Promised the boare EUROs next year.

I had Verratti at CM as a playmaking type and Berty at AMC as a Treq. Core of my team. Finished 7th first Prem season, a point off 6th. Promised the boare EUROs next year. Had my eye on Bertolacci for a while. Tried to get him on a free but he accepted the contract from his current club. He'll be my first buy. You boshed up your tactics on here yet?

Mills gets in my face telling me my expectations are too high. Dropped him and replaced him with Tobias Figueredo (who'd been moaning about lack of games). Verratti is a beast. He's 'wowed' fans so far. Nugent is gash.

Realised im in the Europa League for winning it, which i could do without but hey-ho. Michael Johnson (Who i have signed on a permanent deal now) and Adam Lallana have been called up to the England euro's squad! Capello, what are you doing son. Signed Fierro so i can join the club, aswell as Borini.
