RizLCFC Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Not sure if it deserves its own thread but here goes. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2080505/West-Ham-approach-Peter-Whittingham-rejected.html Hammers approach for Whittingham rejected but Kebe a possibility By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER Last updated at 10:45 PM on 30th December 2011 Comments (0) Share West Ham have been rebuffed in a move for Cardiff City midfielder Peter Whittingham. The Hammers are also interested in Reading’s Jimmy Kebe who is also wanted by Leicester. Reading defender Marcus Williams, 25, is joining Sheffield United. Nottingham Forest have given Marlon Harewood, 32, a four-month deal.
Happy Fox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 If West Ham want him we haven't got a chance I am afraid.
FoxTrott Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Thought Pearson had other wingers in mind. Think Kebe is a bit overrated if I'm honest, whatever they price him at will be overpriced I'm sure. Interesting to see how this SSL story effects us in the January window. Terrible PR.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Interesting to see how this SSL story effects us in the January window. Terrible PR. SSL has been a known bellend for years ask any posh fan. I'd imagine people will just think he has thrown a long overdue hissyfit and it wont come close to making them pass up the chance to play for the mighty foxes! I completely agree with you about Kebe though.

bluearmyfox23 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 I have a little chuckle to myself every time I read that forest have sign hare wood!!
dayday Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 I have been told Jimmy Kebe is on Pearsons radar along with Billy Sharp and Jobi Mcanuff.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 Come on guys, if you were Jimmy Kebe, a man with no affinity with the club whatsoever, would you really join Leicester right now?
STEVIE B Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 Come on guys, if you were Jimmy Kebe, a man with no affinity with the club whatsoever, would you really join Leicester right now? The only reason he would join us would be for the money. We would probably double his wages. As we know, there is little loyalty in football.I wouldn't mind paying a player good money if he's prepared to put a good shift in. At the moment we don't seem to have that,IMO.

Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 I have been told Jimmy Kebe is on Pearsons radar along with Billy Sharp and Jobi Mcanuff. Any of those players would be good signings in my opinion
bluearmyfox23 Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 Both Mcanuff and Kebe have gone quite this year does anybody know why?
DanTheFox07 Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 Both Mcanuff and Kebe have gone quite this year does anybody know why? You obviously haven`t been watching mcanuff play this season then! been immense!
bluearmyfox23 Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 I havent tbh I didn't last year either but I still heard his name being branded about more than this year ?
dannythefox Posted 1 January 2012 Posted 1 January 2012 Both Mcanuff and Kebe have gone quite this year does anybody know why? Kebe been injured a lot.
RizLCFC Posted 3 January 2012 Author Posted 3 January 2012 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2081883/Billy-Sharp-targeted-Leicester-City-Jimmy-Kebe.html
Happy Fox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Kebe smacks of desperation to me would prefer Ward or Adomah.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Would prefer Adomoah but he would cost more than Kebe?
AjcW Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 It scares me that people want Adomah, my Brizzle supporting mate laughs his head off every time he hears people say they really want to sign him, his name has been branded about because of hype created by sky sports after one game as per usual, I can confirm that he is actually.... pretty shit.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Well your mate is chatting sh*t pal, I've seen him 2 to 3 times under their new manager and he has been class, willing to take his man on when can and looking to supply Maynard at all times!!
AjcW Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Well, he was at the game tonight and apparently couldn't give a shit the whole game.
Kitchandro Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I don't really want Kebe or Adomah. Kebe is past his best and coming to the later stages of his career. He's also very inconsistent. He's another one we were linked with under Sven, and I'm quite sure Sven never even rated him. It seems like all the same names come up all the while and I'm not convinced we're interested this time. Adomah's quick and powerful but I don't think he's much of a footballer. Reminds me of Dyer. Also I do rate Maynard but we should be wary of buying players from Bristol, firstly because they're awkward buggers and also because they can't have many gooduns if they're 4th bottom.
MPH Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 MAYBE.... just MAYBE we dont actually have a bottomless pit of money to delve into this January..... I think Kebe might fit into the bracket of being a decent winger and also affordable...
Callabinho Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Don't rate him , every time I have seen him play he has been shocking. Obviously his pace is an asset, but he is sooo inconsistent! All I've seen of him is a bad touch, poor finish, lazy, clumsy and mardy!
