hbkkids Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 And you have to congratulate Mr Kermy for doing this today ! what a goal. he should never of chipped that peno, but probs practiced it every day. and because of one little mistake he will never here the end of it.
Father Ted Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 Hopefully the winner of United-Stevenage comes up Have no interest in visiting a dull ground like Stadium:MK or Galpharm.
ScouseFox Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 The Galpharm is actually a pretty decent ground. I'm not too fussed who comes up. Stevenage would be good because they're shit and I've never been and it looks like an old school, lower league ground. Sheff U is decent, Udders is decent. I've never been MK.

Stadium:MK is the worst ground I have ever been to for atmosphere. On par with the Ricoh.

EcclesallOwl Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 Actually strong rumours that we've signed Antonio, set to be announced tomorrow!
SystonFox Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 that is a shocking attendance at Charlton to say you've won the league and are about to be presented with a tin pot am i ****ing right there?
EcclesallOwl Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Actually strong rumours that we've signed Antonio, set to be announced tomorrow! tomorrow even, forgot it was a bank holiday
AdamN Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 that is a shocking attendance at Charlton to say you've won the league and are about to be presented with a tin pot am i ****ing right there? Not really. Us 08/09: Capacity - 32,500 Att. vs Scunthorpe - 30,542 Charlton 11/12: Capacity - 27,111 Att. vs Hartlepool - 26,749 Also Kermorgant came runner up in the player of the season vote, so well done to him. Glad he's shown the Charlton fans what he's capable of after the stick he received here.
MC Prussian Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 tomorrow even, forgot it was a bank holiday Antonio who?
Fox92 Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I think, and hope, it will be Huddersfield v Stevenage final. Also Kermorgant came runner up in the player of the season vote, so well done to him. Glad he's shown the Charlton fans what he's capable of after the stick he received here.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 We all know Kermorgant will score against us next season.
AdamN Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Sorry for not holding a pointless and bitter grudge. Just ask acooling
tartanowl Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I'm delighted we are up. We have deserved it after the end to our season and Jones has made a huge difference to us. I hope Sheff United go up as well, much better away trip than Wednesday In what way? I am intrigued. I went to school with both United and Wednesday fans, obviously, living close to Sheffield... When we were relegated, I used to get Wednesday fans saying 'enjoy League 1', 'enjoy Cheltenham away' etc. Never got it off of United fans. Most neutrals that I know despise the Pigs and prefer us of the two Sheffield clubs. You seem to be a rare exception.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 The only major reason i dont like Sheff Wed is that i have been there three times i think and we have lost all three. Been dreadful games too! Having said that when i went to Sheff Utd we lost as well..............
Simmo86 Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 In what way? I am intrigued. Behind the goal at Bramall Lane is better than being stuck up in the upper tier at your place, but I enjoy both. Proper grounds
Ozwin Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Hillsborough is a lovely stadium, proper old school. It's a shame we always do shit there.
tartanowl Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Behind the goal at Bramall Lane is better than being stuck up in the upper tier at your place, but I enjoy both. Proper grounds I'm surprised you say that. The view is crap down there compared to the Upper West at our place.
Kitchandro Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 In what way? I am intrigued. Most neutrals that I know despise the Pigs and prefer us of the two Sheffield clubs. You seem to be a rare exception. It's just a much better away end. You're right close to the pitch, the ground feels quite enclosed, everyone stands, the acoustics are a bit better, etc. Hillsborough is the best ground in the country IMO (with Bramall Lane in the top 5), but for away fans it's cack, it's too big for your run of the mill game in the Championship and therefore doesn't look very full, you're put in the top tier, and the standing percentage is much less. When you're fans are the ones giving him stick for relegation what do you expect him to think of you?
ScouseFox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I've never been to Hillsborough supporting us but my one trip with Bristol Rovers was a great day out. Looking forward to going back next year.
Kitchandro Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I'm surprised you say that. The view is crap down there compared to the Upper West at our place. The view is no worse than being on the front few rows of any stadium. I'd rather feel close to the action than get a great view, most home games my view is restricted by other fans at times but I'd much rather be involved in the atmosphere than sit down. Especially away from home.
Simmo86 Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I'm surprised you say that. The view is crap down there compared to the Upper West at our place. Just personal preference. We always have decent ends at Bramall Lane, that said I wanted you to get promoted over them. Edit......what Kitch said
General Smuts Posted 7 May 2012 Author Posted 7 May 2012 I'm delighted we are up. We have deserved it after the end to our season and Jones has made a huge difference to us. Im assuming you mean Dave and not Rob Jones cos hes shit. Worst centre back I saw play at the Lamex this season.
Kitchandro Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Sorry for not holding a pointless and bitter grudge. Just ask acooling Not holding a grudge is one thing, arselicking him when his cocky piece of shit of a penalty cost us our chances of promotion is embarrassing. I think you're the one who needs to let go, he's not popular and with good reason, accept it.
tartanowl Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Some interesting views. I would like to see home fans in the Upper West at Hillsborough personally because it is without doubt one of the best views in the ground. I think it is a waste giving it to away fans. I take your point in it being too big for an average Championship game but with a big support inside it can be fantastic. You can still stand up there too. The fact you can get beer is one advantage of the Bramall Lane end (I am surpsrised nobody mentioned that) but the rest of it IMO is pretty poor in comparison. Of course I meant Dave Jones! Rob Jones doesn't get in the team anymore and with a P12 W10 D2 L0 record he has been a revelation. And I'm not fussed about what the lad from Worksop thinks. I was just saying that it seems to be a rarity for people to prefer them over us.
