Fox92 Posted 28 April 2012 Posted 28 April 2012 Would rather United get second, but it looks like Wednesday will make it instead... Just don't like Wednesday because their fans used to take the p**s out of me, more than the United fans did, at school. (Although a school friend now plays for Sheffield Wednesday, and best of luck to him as always). Part of me wants United to go up over Wednesday, but both of them don't look good enough if/when they were/are promoted, so part of me doesn't care.
Jaspa Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I know its not League 1 but, Did anyone see Crawley today ? They let in some hilarious goals and seem to have completely imploded in a couple of months !
Fox92 Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Did anyone see Crawley today ? They let in some hilarious goals and seem to have completely imploded in a couple of months ! No, I'll watch the highlights though. Can't believe they lost at home to Hereford. Mind you, Evans moved to Rotherham ages ago so maybe that's why?
Bert Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I'll always be a Leicester fan. But I've completely had it with the King Power Stadium and the lack of atmosphere for 30 quid a ticket. For a tenner I can go and stand on a terrace singing and bantering with the Stevenage fans 10 minutes from my house. They are now my local team. But I'll always be a Leicester fan first and a Stevenage convert second. PAP. Can't really fault that to be fair mate. No, I'll watch the highlights though. Can't believe they lost at home to Hereford. Mind you, Evans moved to Rotherham ages ago so maybe that's why? Ages ago being two weeks?
Fox92 Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Ages ago being two weeks? Yeah. I knew he went, but I didn't know what date.
SemperEadem Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Living in Sheffield, I obviously want both to come up as it means I get two more northern games next year. Would prefer Wednesday to get second though, bigger club and much better fans.
Fox92 Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Apparently a massive game in Sheffield today... As much as I like Dave Jones, it would be funny if Wycombe won and Blades nicked second instead Good luck to Stevenage and Notts County as well. Two club's I'd like to see in the play offs, but only one can make it. Although Bury are a decent side, I can still see Stevenage getting that 6th place.
ScouseFox Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Sensational minute for Sheff Wed fans. They go 1-0 up and Sheff Yoo go 1-0 down!
Brown Fox Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 38,000+ at Sheff Wed. Don't care if it's the final game of the season. That crowd in League 1 is absolutely incredible considering Chelsea and Liverpool only get about 2,000 more.
Kitchandro Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 I hope Sheff United go up as well, much better away trip than Wednesday

That crowd in League 1 is absolutely incredible considering Chelsea and Liverpool only get about 2,000 more. It's only that amount because of the game. I know they do get a fairly big crowed though, so I'm not doubting the support because they are a well supported club (as are United), and will probably fill every away end next season. I went into town earlier today, and ok I live close to Sheffield, but all Wednesday fans seem to have come from nowhere. No doubt they will all be out tonight, so I'm probably in for an ear full. Dave Jones is a great manager though, I do like him so fair play. Also, a friend does play for Sheffield Wednesday so I might see him play against us next season. Well done to Stevenage as well, great season yet again. I predict, and hope, it is a Stevenage v Huddersfield play off final.
Fox92 Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Wanted Wednesday up Prefer them over Sheff Yoo! I went to school with both United and Wednesday fans, obviously, living close to Sheffield... When we were relegated, I used to get Wednesday fans saying 'enjoy League 1', 'enjoy Cheltenham away' etc. Never got it off of United fans.

Just prefer Wednesday....bigger, better club

MC Prussian Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Congratulations to both Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday for getting automatic promotion. Now... out of the remaining four, I'd much rather have Huddersfield than anyone else.
Happy Fox Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Well done Sheffield Wednesday, it is good to have proper clubs in this division again, the Doncaster's, Barnsley's of this world don't deserve to be in this league, my tip for the playoffs is going to be Huddersfield.
