Arkie Bennett Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Torn between 5-2 v Sunderland and 3-2 at West Brom 1995.
Corky Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 The Sunderland 5-2 was special, and taught me a lesson. Never go to the toilet during the game, you could miss a goal (which I learned from, only took 11 years to happen again). Sat in my orange seat in the Family Stand
eternal fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 1962-63 season tuesday april 16 leicester beat man united 4-3 ken keyworth scored a hat-trick in 6 minutes denis law scored all three for man united, terry heath scored the winner for city. 37,000 crowd it put us on top of the league with five games to go! but sadly we blew up finishing fourth, and loosing the cup final to man united. the double was on. also on the monday april 15 we had played man united at old trafford drew 2-2.
paulsherwood1 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 wasnt my favourite game as a whole but that 45 minutes took some beating regarding how good they played. Totally agree. In the first half we were better than barca, incredible Leicester performance! Also remember us beating Chelsea 2-0 ( stopping a league unbeaten record by them ) on the day of the Hillsboro disaster. naturally played like knob heads in the 2nd half
lcfcliam Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 As bad as the memories are I would say the play off semi final 2nd leg away at Cardiff was a really great performance, apart from the first 20 odd minutes! The fans were brilliant the players fought for win as if it was a life or death situation! Shame about the end result but lets not go there eh!
EnderbyFox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 This thread makes me very depressed, thinking about all those good performances then thinking about our performances so far this season (bar Derby)
I am Rod Hull Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I`ll chuck this one in, lost my voice for a day. Notice the attendance at the end of the vid.
john doe Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 5-0 against Cambridge in the play-offs best atmosphere as well
Sylvie85 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Sunderland 5-2 was brilliant but would also like to throw in Leicester 3 - 1 Spurs 1994 Think David Lowe got a couple for us, remember Klinsmann scoring for them. Was a highlight in a long season.
LCFC BEAST Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Leicester 3-2 Spurs FA Cup 3rd round 2006. Just the fact with the squad we had we managed to beat a pretty decent Spurs team back then. Mark de Vries

Mark de Vries I remember countless Spurs fans saying how much they'd rather have MDV than Rasiak after his performance that night. Hilarious.

Was a highlight in a long season. First ever Premiership win I think if I remember correctly?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I'm like many others have been question why the hell i support city in recent weeks, this thread has come at the perfect time
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Leicester 4-0 Leeds. September 2003. Heaps of my mates over here support Leeds due to the riduculus number of Aussies they had around that time, Viduka and Kewell the main 2. I had a day off School for some reason and my Uncle had tapped it for me and left it in his letterbox, that morning i ran the 2km's to his house. Grabbed the tape and went home to watch it as if it was live. I was even more excited as it was only the first or 2nd City full game i had ever watched on TV due to the fact we didn't have Pay TV. I think it was the same week i booked my flights to go see City play later that season.
crafty fox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 5-0 cambridge was immense with what was at stake, considering they was a stong team then, we brushed them aside with an atmosphere that ill never forget from the city fans, i was in the double decker and at was like being in the kop! pure emotion. after the game the whole cambridge team stopped off at my local at the time the uppingham, and watched the highlights on the tv the only player who didnt get off the coach was claridge who was doing his bets for the next day.
bluesbrothers Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 2-1 away at QPR in the 2010-2011 season was an immense team performance at a really tough ground to go to. Granted, we won courtesy of a stupid mistake from Paddy Kenny, but the whole team have rarely clicked quite as well.
Topman Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 1st 15mins away to Derby at Pride Park, we were 4-0 up from 4 headers, infront of the sky cameras, the home fans were leaving after 15 mins leaving no pride in that park
reynard Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Depends how you quantify performance but two games stand out for me. The first is the play off final vs Crystal Palace. We actually played pretty well that day and then of course you have the sheer drama of the final few seconds and the strange few seconds of silence whilst we all realised Claridge had in fact scored. Hard to beat for an all round football experience. However in terms of pure performance then I think the 5-0 away win against Luton in the Fa cup (74?) takes some beating. Considering the pitch was a disgrace the football was simply stunning. Worthington was just immense and Weller's goal was a sublime piece of skill. Oh we took 8000 fans from what I remember and made a lot of noise. Outstanding attacking football of a quality I don't expect to see in the next few matches!

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 So it was your fault we got relegated? Well i did go and see 7 matches and we didn't win a single one.
Corky Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 We beat Chelsea 2-0 in 1997/98- that was a cracking performance, topped off by Pegguy Arphexad catching a Frank Lebeouf pile-driver. He was superb
tommypello Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 a couple that spring to mind for me was the 2nd half against Swindon Town play offs before white dived over poole & villa away 4-1 down ended up 4-4 amazing game
