MikeyT Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Mr. Beckford...take a bow. Great hat trick and all around impressive performance. Well done!
Guest shearfox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 strange how he had his head in his hands near the end on the bench then walked off down the tunnel with about 2 mins to go ? Maybe the dose he had tonight had major side effects....
cardifflee Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Don't know what to make of his non-celebrations. prob as he has had so many wankers slagging him off majority on here
Bettsy82 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 went down tunnel early after having head in hands - why is that a wind up? ILL I think .
Legend_in_blue Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 He clearly has talent. The team played behind him today, this just needs to continue.
Nick Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I'm wondering if he will be interviewed as he is ESPN man of the match. Couldn't decipher if Pearson and him were having weird words throughout the game and his head in his hands at the end..... ill, injured? Dyer was sat next to him just staring at him - OH ESPN announce he is unwell so not doing post match interview.
BENTHEBLUE Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Jermaine beckford is not with us at the moment as he isn't feeling too well???
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 He has always had the talent, tonight he just showed what he can do. But now he needs to find some consistency.
undey Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 For his third goal, old Beckford wouldn't have tried for the rebound but you could see the determination to make it, he was like that throughout tonight. Bring on Southampton!
Matt Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Scores a hat-trick and got the shits! He just wants to keep the runs going.
nuttytimmy Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 A fabulous performance tonight, one can say no more after any player nets three times. Certainly a winner and definitely man of the match.
ScouseFox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Hahaha, I was waiting for the first "I told you so" thread. Well, I did tell you so, not going to gloat as I can understand where people were coming from because he has been, to put it simply, shit for the most part. But it's clear he could be very good, and tonight he was, and if he can do that more often the haters will stop hating.
Guest MattP Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Played very well but in the words of Mr Wolf...."let's not start sucking each others dicks just quite yet". He needs a run of good games before anyone can start claiming he has proved people wrong.
Bettsy82 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 What a great attitude jbeck has shown not moaned once knuckled down worked hard ignored the haters and now he's getting goals again fair play to him !
Ric Flair Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 The so called moaners had every right to voice thier displeasure at Beckford of late but I said it before, he's a massive confidence player irrespective of his ' only weak people feel pressure ' comments. Low and behold a couple of goals and he is very dangerous. He needs to follow this up with 2 or 3 in the league in quick succession and he'll be as good as anything at this level.
easilee Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 strange how he had his head in his hands near the end on the bench then walked off down the tunnel with about 2 mins to go ? Cos he ran his knackers off for once not used to that kind of excersise and is now spewing. seriously tho, well done Becks.

No, the moaners had their right to voice their displeasure at Beckford at the start of the season. He's been playing fairly well recently, and most of the criticism was uncalled for.
