jonlcfc1990 Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Not being a bigot or a hater but Huddersfield are still league 1? We've come up against opposition in lower leagues already this season and we've brushed them aside by 4 goals every time Rotherham Bury and Forest (come on lets be honest they are league 1 atm) I'm not being funny but Leicester have always taken cups seriously and we never play a weakened squad we show the cups a lot of respect and it's seem to reward us with some memorable results. Regardless of how well your playing it's still in league 2 so it's hard to judge that. Fianally i'm confident it will be a good game and a very very good tie for both sets of fans and i hope we win. Good luck for the rest of the season
burni Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 He either has an extremely low IQ or hes just playing games to try cause an upset. Its worked though i want us to embarrase them now
DB11 Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Didn't we draw with them? Could be wrong, mind. I'm fairly certain we didn't turn them over home or away I didn't even know that we played them in League One I meant where most teams came to us cos we had a few big scorelines that year.
ithuriel Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 Cup game so anything can happen, doubt Pearson will let the players think all they have to do is get changed into the kit to win at home.
SwindonRed Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 I didn't even know that we played them in League One I meant where most teams came to us cos we had a few big scorelines that year. The season you were promoted 2-2 draw at Swindon and 1-1 at Leicester
SwindonRed Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 How many do you think you'll bring? Not less than 2,000 - we average over 1,000 for away league games this season and that is going to some s'holes.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 do you think you need the whole 5,000 allocation?
purpleronnie Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 anyone see his rant after the game yesterday Yep it was ace, did someone seriously tell him to stop waving his arms about.
MC Prussian Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 I still don't know whether Di Canio is actually mental or just acting or both. They were quick enough to upload a new, fitting picture from yesterday to his wikipedia profile.
SwindonRed Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 anyone see his rant after the game yesterday Yep he was told to calm down, even kicked one of our players up the backside. He is seriously out of control at the moment, it was embarrassingly funny yesterday, but I do fear for his health in the long run, and being banned from the line for long periods of the rest of the season, he is certainly a motivator and this will be missed. He is a total nutcase, but we love him to bits.

Im just surprised he hasnt lit a ciggy on the touchline yet
SwindonRed Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 do you think you need the whole 5,000 allocation? No way, I think I over-estimated how many we would bring (2,000). Seems most are saving their pennies for the league games, next up away to top of the league Southend.
bluesbrothers Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 Even being a self-proclaimed optimist, we've had rotten luck against Swindon in the past. Truly a bogey team of ours - after all, they're the only team in League 1, besides the mighty Stockport, that we failed to pick up 3 points against if I'm correct? Either a great time to break the duck, or a prickly fixture if ever I saw one against a tight unit.

Lambert09 Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 "If they want to send me off every game, no problem. I will win this league anyway" Wow

purpleronnie Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 Can't stand the bloke. That's a shame he speaks highly of you.
marko Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 Can't stand the bloke. Me too, but I hope he doesn't get a touchline ban for next week because i'm hoping for a few Di Canio chants to be ringing round the stadium if we win. I'd love to see him going barmy on the touchline when something goes against him.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 I think DiCanio appears to exist on 'passion' This usually has an immediate impact particularly on young, up and coming players who can be inspired relatively quickly. However, we are yet to see his true managerial credentials... His tactical nounce, his eye for a player, his ability to motivate players when they have suffered a heavy defeat etc.. If I was Pearson I'd actually play this all down and remind our players that Swindon are, in fact, just an average football team who are currently punching above their weight. This fixture is not about DiCanio or about how well Swindon are playing. It's about Leicester City playing to their ability which far outweighs that of Swindon. If we play well on the day, sort our game out and don't get bound up in Swindon this, DiCanio that, we will beat them. I fully expect Pearson to play this all down and see it for the hype that it all is.

If I was Pearson I would knock DiCanio out cold if he comes round waving his arms like that like he did last night, that would be worth watching How was the holiday Col?
ithuriel Posted 22 January 2012 Posted 22 January 2012 http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/16670824.stm Reminds me of the italian barber on the Saffron lane, he can often go off on rants whilst cutting my hair
