milnerfc Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Does he realise we beat Rotherham 4-0 this season and they had to fight for a 2-1???
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 To be honest I don't know why he is deluded to think this, Swindon are on good form and they could beat us
Nickfosse Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Does he realise we beat Rotherham 4-0 this season and they had to fight for a 2-1??? My thoughts too. As Rotherham seem to be the yardstick for quality of performance, if I were Pearson I would respond by saying that if we play as well as we did against Rotherham, we might be able to give them a decent game.
Kitchandro Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Firstly, he's insane, why are people bothered what he thinks? Secondly, he's going to big his team up to give them confidence and unnerve us. Thirdly, he uses some logic that makes sense on some level, and some of his comments about our team are true. Fourthly, why is it so ridiculous that they could beat us? Definitely a potential banana skin.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Clearly trying to play mind games, as long as we don't underestimate them and play like last night we have every chance of wining but it's the FA cup he knows that and will use everything he can to upset and frustrate the higher placed team. He is just doing his job, he was a good player and is/will be a good manager. We just need to play to our strengths and certainly not get wound up by these tactics. This
leicesterisme Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Don't really see the problem? I've seen numerous posts over the last few weeks highlighting problems like he's said in that interview. It would also be the typical Leicester way to beat Forest 4-0 and then lose to Swindon. It's what we do.

Guest MattP Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Some of the attitudes here remind me of a lot of our fans under Peter Taylor's cup run after Wycombe knocked Wimbledon out on penalties to play us. "We're in the semi's now" Paulo can say what he wants, he's a confident man, if we play to our ability, we should win the match, if we don't, Swindon could take advantage.
broughtonblue Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Can see where he is coming from, they have one defeat in the last twenty odd games, he watched us three weeks ago (when we were actually slagging ourselves off on here!) then we lose to a team who had lost 5 out of 6, can't see us losing though!
Ric Flair Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Would let them have the game if they let us have Matt Ritchie in return, i've chuntered on about this lad for 3 seasons since we played Dagenham in the cup and he was mustard!
FuriousFox46 Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 "We beat Rotherham. Therefore we can beat any team in the World." - Paulo DiCanio Simply outstanding logic. Still haven't forgiven the twat, for his last minute penalty dive against Charlton in 2003/04.

Please don't remind me of this, I see it as the pivotal point which marked the end of the good days, everything went wrong from that point in my mind.
Sods Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Still remember him diving with west ham and charlton to get pens against us, **** off di canio.
Stevie Synex Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Nigel should print these comments off, stick them on the dressing room wall before the game and that should motivate the players. I know it would if I was a player. My Thoughts exactly
Jollie Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Paulo Di Canio Great Footballer Brain made of dog poo

Pearson was not the manager when we played Rotherham last time around
RAFRUDY Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 This guy has just made the game even more difficult for Swindon by saying these comments. If that doesn't give our team the motivation they need then I don't know what will. Just for the record, I think this will be an easy victory anyway, there's a lot at stake and a potential 'quality' next round draw. We are leagues apart in quality all over the pitch against a Swindon side i've never heard of. Paulo DiCanio I cant stand as a man anyway, even on the pitch he was a cheat half the time.
Itsthejoeker Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Great when he's talking trash about everyone else, but when he talks about your team you realise how much shit he is talking.
SMX11 Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Hope Pearson gets him in a headlock when we score the fourth. In all seriousnous I think they will probably put up more of a fight than Forest did.
Tielemans63 Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Paolo Di Canio in 'i'm a bit of a cnut' shocker.
Nickfosse Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Pearson was not the manager when we played Rotherham last time around I know. I didn't say he was did I? I was joking because both teams (team not manager) have played Rotherham this season.
Bert Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Don't see why everyone gets so pissed off when managers start saying things like this. It's all part and parcel these days. He's never had an affinity with us either, so after we've hopefully beat them, we can laugh at him then.
