As Rotherham seem to be the yardstick for quality of performance, if I were Pearson I would respond by saying that if we play as well as we did against Rotherham, we might be able to give them a decent game.

Clearly trying to play mind games, as long as we don't underestimate them and play like last night we have every chance of wining but it's the FA cup he knows that and will use everything he can to upset and frustrate the higher placed team.

He is just doing his job, he was a good player and is/will be a good manager.

Just for the record, I think this will be an easy victory anyway, there's a lot at stake and a potential 'quality' next round draw.

Don't see why everyone gets so pissed off when managers start saying things like this. It's all part and parcel these days. He's never had an affinity with us either, so after we've hopefully beat them, we can laugh at him then.
