Aye Mythos is very nice !!

Though try and get it in bottles as sometimes (rarely but it happens), you buy the Mythos but it isn't actually it.

I need a holiday but can't go until October half-term.

I'm looking at all-inclusive (2 adults and two sons aged 15 and 17) and have narrowed it down to Turkey, Cyprus or Tunisia.

Can't decide which one.

Anyone been to these countries at the end of October before?

Anyone got any opinions on the three countries?

Much appreciated.

I went to Kusadassi,Turkey all inclusive in October a few years back. The weather was not great, somedays sunny, somedays crap. The water park was only half open as it wasn't that busy.

The food was nice and plenty of it but the beer was mank and the spirits tasted like paraffin.

It wasn't a bad holiday though.

I went to Dalayan in Turkey a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Lots of bars and stuff if you want a night out drinking but also a quieter part of town with nice restaurants if you fancied that. Good atmosphere and family friendly too.

Went to Cyprus for 2 weeks in July, 3rd time in 4 years I've been there now.

We love it, you've got everything really good weather October will still be 30 degrees, the prices are reasonable, friendly people, you won't be getting hassled on the streets like you would in Turkey and Tunisia.

We stayed in a place called Protoras which has everything lovely restaraunts, lovely beaches, nice bars and a lot of family's stay in this area.

I went to Turkey all inclusive in October 2 years ago. As Webbo says weather wasn't great but the break did the trick.

You should be able to pick up a decent deal to.

Going to stay with my Uncle in the south of Spain on Saturday for 5 days. Can't fooking wait!

I've spent some time in Edinburgh for the festival already. Heading to Bestival next week (definitely counts as a holiday) and then I'm heading off to Istanbul for a couple of days and then onto Lebanon for a week. Oh, and then to Milan to see my sister at the end of November, as well as to catch Milan vs. Juventus

After much deliberation, we've booked a flight to Paphos, Cyprus.

Now just got to find a villa.

Thanks for your help.

You'll have a great time, it's a nice place for a family. Paphos is quite a bit more chilled out than some of the other parts of Cyprus such as Ayia Napa and Proteras. I go there quite often as my Mum lives in a village a few miles inland. You may want to have a look around Coral Bay which is on the coast just outside Paphos but has plenty of family friendly restaurants, bars, etc and a laidback vibe.

Also if you get a chance go to Fat Mama's in Paphos. Really fun restaurant where the staff put on a bit of a show, and the food is actually very good. There's a great Indian called Poppadoms as well come to think of it. If you want some tips on finding a villa I'm happy to ask my Mum, just drop me a PM or whatever.

As for me this year is mental for holidays, am loving it. Already been to Poland, Scotland twice, Barcelona and Japan. Then still to come is a climbing weekend in France, 10 days in Uganda in October to see Mrs James, 5 days exploring Israel and Palestine in November and then a weekend near Carcassone in a villa with some mates.

Went there for our honeymoon 2 years ago - had a great time.

Mine and my wife's honeymoon I mean. Not mine and IOWF's - we've never even met.

Thanks James.

I have a problem with mosquitoes. They just love me. I'm sure the family take me as a decoy/patsy. They never have an issue with them.

Would I be best to have a place near the sea or more inland/rural?

I'm pretty sure I asked this before but how much would a weekend in Barcelona cost? Me and some mates want to go watch Barcelona play and look about for a bit. A Saturday and Sunday would be enough, provided Barca play on those days right?

I'm off to the Dolomites on Saturday. I'm quite looking forward to it; it's going to be very different to the beach holidays I usually go on. The only downside is that we are going on a coach. It's going to be a long journey, but a good book and a scenic journey should seem me through.

Next year I think it's Ibiza or going round Europe.

I want to go to Hong Kong but seems like noone can afford it. But either of the top 2 should be a laugh

The Dolomites are beautiful but, yes, it's a long journey. Hope you get bright weather to see them at their best. :)

They usually play Sunday evening so you would have to come back Monday really. Ticket for the game will be about 40 quid each I think, depends on the game though, accomodation is doesnt have to cost much, food isnt expensive, and flights will be about 70 quid each. Probably fly from LTN as EMA and BHX will lose bmibaby flights to barcelona so will only have Ryanair and Monarch respecrively and I dont know their frequencies. Easyjet twice a day from Luton.

I went in march for 3 nights. Flew out on a Saturday morning with easy jet think the flight was about £49.99 return from Luton.

We stayed in a 3 bed apartment in Carrer del bruc which is near the centre so you can get around on foot quite easily. Think it worked out to about €80 each there was 4 of us.

It's quite expensive for a beer, bottles of Estrella were about €9 each. We did find a sports bar down La Rambla which shown English football and the beer was cheaper in there. There is a few nightclubs around there also but be careful with money and your pockets.

We'd bought tickets before we went to go and see Noel Gallagher at the razzmatazz on the Sunday night that was really good.

On the Monday we went to the Nou Camp €22 a ticket for the tour but you do it at your own leisure you haven't got a guide you just stroll round yourself. Had a photo holding the champions league that cost €15. Went to buy a barca shirt from the shop but they were €99 so didn't bother.

All in all it was a good trip it is quite dear so I'd take a fair bit of spending money.

I would also recommend the Nou Camp tour. Ryanair fly there most days, I went in may for around £50 return.

Food can be expensive if you want somewhere nice but you will always find cheap places. I went to 3 of the best restaurants there and spend a fortune but was well worth it.

Barca is an amazing city and I would certainly recommend it
