absolutelegend Posted 2 July 2012 Posted 2 July 2012 I can see the appeal if I was of a certain age and with a group of mates, but yeah, these days i'd rather work for two weeks as a gimp in tyrone's love house than go to any of those kind of places. Yep you are right - In fact in my younger days I did go to them both, but that was 15 yrs ago. I guess I'm just getting old
FoxesAreBlue Posted 2 July 2012 Posted 2 July 2012 Recommend anything there? Off in a month or so. Yep Cherry Bay and before that of the two big clubs; Zeroes and Rescue, I preferred rescue. Can't reccommentthe water park to be honest. It's not very busy and for good reason, there's only about 4 big slides - not really worth it.
Soar Fox Posted 2 July 2012 Posted 2 July 2012 Going Protoras in Cyprus in 13 days. Staying in a Thomson sensatori hotel. Anyone stayed in one if there hotels before?
Reynard Bleu Posted 3 July 2012 Posted 3 July 2012 Off to Cornwall for a week soon to visit in-laws, then we have the whole of August ina villa in Avlaki in Corfu.
cambridgefox Posted 3 July 2012 Posted 3 July 2012 Off to the south of France last week of August.Only got to drive 650 miles in France with the wife telling me to slow down and the kids feeling sick an hour into the journey.i have had a good 18 months for hols .Thailand,Mid west France,Skiing and this French holiday to come as well as going away for Xmas .We worked out that lot has cost us 16k so need to slow down a bit.im sounding like wymeswold fox but I do like my holidays.Do the French hols on the cheap with Siblu, you can put Tesco vouchers towards it and you get 3 x value if anyone is interested.

Tom17LCFC Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 We'll avoid the water park then! How much do the clubs cost to get in? Zeroes and Rescue are both free, Cherry Bay costs five euros but you get a free drink of your choice inside. Chances are there'll be a famous DJ in Rescue as well, had Dave Pearce last year, and it was still free to get in! Drinks are dear in the clubs though so fill up in the bars on the strip.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Summer is Ibiza time for me. Been twice already, four more left this summer - five before the new season starts and one at the start of September. Five days / four nights each time. Suits me perfectly. Just love that place.
Libertine Dream Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Going Protoras in Cyprus in 13 days. Staying in a Thomson sensatori hotel. Anyone stayed in one if there hotels before? Protaras is a great resort amd the weather will be scorching plus Napa is around the corner which is easily the best lads holiday destination aswell as being a great family resorr. Although as your staying sensatori I guess you wont be on the lash all night. Personally we had a change of plans, going to Croatia for a week on Friday, then get back and go Tenerife for eleven days, two weeks today and then Marmaris at the start of September

ScouseFox Posted 5 July 2012 Posted 5 July 2012 Got back from Zante a few hours ago. It was boss. I'm paler than when I left and I'm covered in bruises. Re Watson, I had a group of mates staying in Majestic when we were out there. They said it was decent, but you'll struggle to get birds back if they're not from there. We tried to get in on the way home from a night out with some girls, and had a scale a fúck off fence and got caught by the bouncer and chased to the other side of the island. It's smack in the middle of the strip though, and about 20 yards from the main set of clubs which are all next to each other in a square. One's called something I've forgetten but there's a lot of steps and if you fall down them it hurts. Rescue and Zeroes are both good but I preferred Rescue I reckon. 90% of Zante is around there until about half 4 then they'll stroll down to the beach and hit that Cherry place and see it out until daylight. You'll have a boss time. And it's all really cheap.
Webbo Posted 6 July 2012 Posted 6 July 2012 This is the only way you'll get me camping. That's not real camping. Real camping is sleeping on an uncomfortable bed, tangled up in your sleeping bag. Getting up at 2 in the morning walking barefoot in the pitch black in just your underpants to the toilets keeping your fingers crossed you don't step in any dog shit.

Soar Fox Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Cheers mate. So there is a bouncer at the hotel? Thanks for all that info, can't wait now! Just give him €10/15 that's worked for me a couple of times.
Webbo Posted 8 July 2012 Posted 8 July 2012 Off to the airport in a few hours. Looking forward to seeing a bit of sun for a change.
Webbo Posted 10 July 2012 Posted 10 July 2012 Just enjoying a pint of Mythos in the bar of our hotel. Beautiful hot sunny days, really beautiful place (Polichronos, Halkidiki). Loving it. Hope you'll all behaving yourselves while I'm not there to moderate.
