Ozwin Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Yeah me and my mates are well up for it, what travel company did you sort it with? All over the Nou Camp tour. Shouldn't be more than £300 for a weekend though right?
Tom17LCFC Posted 5 September 2012 Posted 5 September 2012 Hoping to do Tomorrowland next summer, a festival in Belgium. From the videos I've seen it looks absolutely insane!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 I went in march for 3 nights. Flew out on a Saturday morning with easy jet think the flight was about £49.99 return from Luton. We stayed in a 3 bed apartment in Carrer del bruc which is near the centre so you can get around on foot quite easily. Think it worked out to about €80 each there was 4 of us. It's quite expensive for a beer, bottles of Estrella were about €9 each. We did find a sports bar down La Rambla which shown English football and the beer was cheaper in there. There is a few nightclubs around there also but be careful with money and your pockets. We'd bought tickets before we went to go and see Noel Gallagher at the razzmatazz on the Sunday night that was really good. On the Monday we went to the Nou Camp €22 a ticket for the tour but you do it at your own leisure you haven't got a guide you just stroll round yourself. Had a photo holding the champions league that cost €15. Went to buy a barca shirt from the shop but they were €99 so didn't bother. All in all it was a good trip it is quite dear so I'd take a fair bit of spending money. That doesn't sound right, think you were getting stiched up there. I was paying 3-4 euro a bottle in a nightclub in la rambla.
Wycombe Fox Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 Got back from a week in Cyprus yesterday morning at 6.15. What a lovely place. We stayed in a villa near Pissouri, Limassol, which was very quiet and just what was needed for a damn fine chill out. The weather was amazing - low to high eighties all week. We spent most of our time poolside but had visits to Paphos, the archeological park and went to watch Paphos v Larnaca on Saturday night which finished 3-0 to Larnaca. The standard of football was a bit comedic and easily sub-Conference Premier. A big plus for me was not a single mozzy bite. We'll definitely be going back to Cyprus.
lavrentis Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 Treating my mum to a trip to Barcelona. Could have gone with mates to the 'Whore ridden streets of Amsterdam'* but having 10 nights in a nice hotel in Barcelona in Summer 13. My mum's boyfriend is too much of a skivvy to go on Holidays and I have about lost it with times with him so I'm taking her, he's not coming. Never been to Barca but should be fun *NoPrizes for where quote that is from
Guest MattP Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 This cold has me depressed as ****. Going to try and get out to Banus for 2-3 days in December.

James. Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 This cold has me depressed as ****. Going to try and get out to Banus for 2-3 days in December. Textbook humblebragging. I'm off to Israel in a week, hopefully the temperatures hold up, 27 degress would go down an absolute treat right now.
Guest MattP Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 Textbook humblebragging. I'm off to Israel in a week, hopefully the temperatures hold up, 27 degress would go down an absolute treat right now. Where abouts? Always wanted to go to Israel, never got round to it. Been before?
casablancas Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 10 days in New York. Gonna be freezing but can't think of many better places to see in the new years. Not been away for over a year so yaaay
James. Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 Where abouts? Always wanted to go to Israel, never got round to it. Been before? Never been before. Fly into Tel Aviv, my Mrs knows someone who lives there so she'll show us around, the Israelis love a good party so we'll get a taste of that. Then take the bus to Jerusalem for a couple more days including a visit to the West Bank, probably Bethlehem. After that we're hiring a car and driving down to the Dead Sea to float in the water and do the classic sunrise Mount Masada climb before heading back to Tel Aviv for the flight home. It's a brief trip so only going to touch the surface but it's an unbelievably fascinating place, can't wait.
goose2010 Posted 6 November 2012 Posted 6 November 2012 10 days in New York. Gonna be freezing but can't think of many better places to see in the new years. Not been away for over a year do yaaay NYE is mental in New York we were in time square (well about 5 blocks out) we were there at 2pm thinking that would put us near the front! how wrong were we! if I was to do it again i would book into a restaurant or one of the parties at the bars. Be prepared to do a lot of standing around (without drink 1 because they don't allow it and 2 you can leave your 'pen' to go the toilet) one tip stand near a pizzeria the one where we stood were giving out pizza all night which was a life saver! We absolutely loved the whole experience though was fantastic. I fly out to Vegas on NYE this year hoping for no delays so we get to Vegas about 2pm then we have booked tickets to see The Black Keys at hard rock hotel can not wait!

Soar Fox Posted 4 January 2013 Posted 4 January 2013 Anyone know much about Jet2 holidays? Looking at booking a summer holiday 2 weeks in Cyprus, and I've found really good deals with jet2. I've never used them before so don't know how reliable they are or the chances of them going bust. Any advice would be welcome.
turkish14 Posted 4 January 2013 Posted 4 January 2013 I think jet will become the new easy jet I.e low cost travel from most British airports, just make sure they are atol ( and I think) abta protected. In the unlikely case they were to go bust you would get your money back, if they are with abta/atol. Hope this helps :-)

I normally book with the co-op travel in Blaby, but iv'e been looking on the Internet and Jet2 holidays packages are £400-500 cheaper PP than them in the travel agents.

I looked at those type of sites last year. They appear cheap until you go to book and then you find you have to pay extra for luggage and transfers. It doesn't always work out cheaper.
