Finchy Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Bit off topic, but what is it with constantly moaning about football pundits. Every match that is on, people are moaning at Ray Wilkins, G.Neville, Chris Coleman, Alan Smith etc. Why do people care so much? As far as i'm concerned, as long as it's not David Pleat i'm happy.
mrmagoomc4 Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 he looked like someone who hadnt had a fix for a few days
Drift Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 He did look a little uncomfortable, and could have looked up more, but I think he gave decent unbiased opinions. People can take the p**s, but how many of them will be on Sky TV? None.
john doe Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 He looked troubled and disturbed. May have some personal problems but who knows? with all the piss taking, lets hope he doesn't feel like Mr Speed did
5waller5 Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 I thought he spoke alot of sense ... but looked uncomfortable. No need to be so defensive about people taking the mick a bit though .... he chose to go on tv and earn money being a pundit - noone forced him.
caz05 Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 I suppose with us winning we got to have summat to moan about . Just a bit camera shy i think
Clazie Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Matty Oakley is a ram, is a ram, is a... Come on everybody, you know the words!
stockyfox Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Just be thankful that he wasn't on the pitch!
Guest bennytwohats Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Oh come on, he looked completely uncomfortable with it. Justified comments tbh. Nothing wrong with not being up for that, but in that case stay at home! Like the guy but I felt a little awkward watching him! Oh and for the record GNev is a ****ing awesome pundit, one of the best there is. Up there with Dixon (the king). Has interesting things to say unlike most of them who just drop cliche after clishe (Shearer, Townsend I am looking at you), or being the most depressing people on TV (Lawro, hello).
blueharmie Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 He didn't look comfortable no but people are being harsh as he did talk a lot of sense. Much more than idiot claridge or mannish basin head. I'm sure you lot you be better pundits tho !
Fox92 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Haven't people got better things to than slate other people on a website?
bluesbrothers Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Suprise suprise. Wellens plays a second consecutive blinder, so we need someone else to slag off.
flowwolf Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Give the guy a break. He looked so uncomfortable in front of the cameras. So why put yourself in front of them ?
Finchy Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 So why put yourself in front of them ? It's not like he rang up Sky and asked them if he could come on. He also probably didn't know he'd be that uncomfortable infront of a camera.
Corky Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I didn't think he was that bad. Quiet but spoke sense.
Len Finsbury Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 It doesn't help his posture when they have to sit on those ridiculous stools that Sky use. He looked slouched more than anything. If he'd been sitting up straight, I don't think we'd have even been talking about him.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 IS IT JUST ME OR WAS MATT OAKLEY SHOWING NO PASSION WHEN TALKING ABOUT LCFC. I THINK IT MAY BE BECAUSE HE IS NOT THE CAPTAIN AND WE SHIPPED HIM OFF TO EXETER FOR A FEW MONTHS TO ONLY PLAY 7 TIMES?? Or possibly it might have had something to do with the fact that his best years as a football player were at Southampton?
I am Rod Hull Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I liked what he was wearing though.. Looked very dapper..
Bellend Sebastian Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 He'd rather be selling lovely wine, and was just embarrassed at having to be on smelly Sky TV. It's bad enough watching it
Unabomber Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 he was rather cringeworthy but hey he won't give a shit, he will just take the money (assuming he got paid) and get on with whatever it is that he does nowadays.
Webbo Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I liked what he was wearing though.. Looked very dapper.. I thought he looked like a maths teacher.
MrSpaM Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 At least they aint telling him they hope his family die of aids like some of the Southampton fans are doing to Nugent at the minute. Absolutely shocking
Finchy Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I thought he looked like a maths teacher. Math Chic is very in right now.
Webbo Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Math Chic is very in right now. Now it all adds up.
jamesmilner Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 i thought he looked and sounded slimy ! his teeth need porcelain too !
