Guest Col city fan Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Not very Saintly like in character. It's horrible mate..... Truly nasty shit
lcfcadam Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Its shocking. Some examples - There fans are a joke! Surely if retweets by players of jokey insults can be reported to the FA, then this kind of stuff can be reported to the police?
Raj Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 i'm more interested in the folk who went and how they received their freebies....fcuk the 3 points!!!
Happy Fox Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 It's horrible mate..... Truly nasty shit Very sad to see, their is banter then their is going over the boundaries, Nuge doesn't deserve this stick at all.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Richie Wellens best game of the season IMO.. Second half he was superb...
Bugg Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Southampton fans a hilariously bitter, resulting in them taking it out on Nugent for responding to their baiting before the game and rubbing it in after the win.
Captain... Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Being on twitter and a footballer must be asking for trouble especially if you love to wind up the opposition fans, imagine if Savage had twitter when he was playing. The Darron Gibson twitter account did make me laugh though: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/apr/25/darron-gibson-quits-twitter-abuse
Webbo Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Yes but was it with a "hoof" or a long pass along the ground to feet? He was still guilty of a couple of bad passes today, made up for it defensively, and generally played it simple and it worked we kept possession kept the pressure on and didn't give the ball away cheaply. That's 2 assists in 3 games. Not bad for a CB who can't pass.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 i'm more interested in the folk who went and how they received their freebies....fcuk the 3 points!!! Some Del-Boy types outside the turnstile just giving um away! Fantastic gesture by the club. I got 2 scarfs @ £12 each(price tagged up) and £6 of food and drink. My ticket only cost £27 and I live in Southampton so free night out.....Everybody Danns Now

lcfcadam Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 You reckon there are Leicester fans around who would post similar stuff on Twitter in a similar situation? I like to think not... The insults directed at Hayley Gallagher the other week were totally uncalled for and unacceptable, but nowhere near the level of the stuff those depraved Saints "fans" are posting...
Captain... Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 That's 2 assists in 3 games. Not bad for a CB who can't pass. Dyer made the most of a long ball for his other assist, today he looked up spotted Nugent and passed it to him, rather than over him. Maybe because we weren't a goal down and chasing the game he felt less pressure to try and make up for the midfield's lack of creativity, I have always said that the midfield have to take responsibility for passing it back to him rather than doing something with the ball, it is their job to be creative not the centre backs. After we scored Mills didn't really put a foot wrong, but he also didn't try long hoof passes. I will never criticise a good old fashioned hoof clear when under pressure, but when we have the ball and are trying to apply pressure it is just frustrating to see the ball sail out of play.
Master Fox Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Must have been great to be at the stadium tonight.

Pretty sure there are some keyboard warriors in the Leicester fan base, I would have had to restrain myself if Dennis Wise, Erland Johnsen or Mike Reed were on Twitter back in the day.
Head Honcho Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 No idea why Nugent got a yellow card. Do you mean apart from trying to strangle one of the Southampton players
lcfcadam Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 SaintNorthover saint northover @ @nuge101235 do us favour you **** and do what dean windass couldn't #taklenghtandhangyourself Okay now I am convinced that there are definitely no Leicester fans that would post stuff like that publicly. I'm aware that Southampton and Portsmouth are both pretty backwards naval towns that the 21st century hasn't quite reached yet, but jeez...

Strong abuse is fine, the player should either be able to accept it or just leave Twitter for good. However the content in some of those posts is so incredibly depraved I'm really struggling to imagine a City fan posting anything of a similar level. And if they did I'd hope they got absolutely slaughtered on boards such as this...
Libertine Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 I'm sure there are. Morons are morons, it doesn't matter what shirt or scarf they wear. Don't get me wrong, some areas are obviously worse than others but we've had some dreadful chants from some of our 'fans' before.

It shocks me that Twitter isn't policed more It strikes me of a place where people can write whatever filth they want and simply get away with it Their are some truly sick people out there

Definitely something particularly 19th century about *some* people from the South coast naval towns though...

I hope so, but then some fans sing to an opposing manager about his dead Dad, so we are not exactly whiter than white, it is amazing how brave the anonimity of the internet can make small people.
Jace Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 We can't hold it against Southampton fans for feeling very bitter and twisted remember how we used to feel when we had David Connolly up front by himself and that was years ago before he was too old
