Salieri Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Superb performance and result. Thought the back four were excellent and Nugent up front put in a great shift. Can't fault anyones performance to be fair. Hopefully St.Ledger will now cement his place in the team, if he does then I'm sure he'll be more than happy to stay, think he just wanted to play, can't blame him for that. Finally getting some pride back and on the basis of the last couple of performances then there's no reason why we can't kick on towards the top 6.

Full of hunger, winning the ball first, Beckford trying much much harder, Lloyd Dyer menacing, Wellens back to the old Wellens Soooo much better tonight Well done Leicester City. I hope now we can start getting off players backs, especially Wellens and Mills and have some hope. Anyway, Its only one win and I hope this form can continue. As for Mr Beckford... Good on ya son... Keep putting in this amount of effort and I will be happy to have been proven wrong about you. The major difference for me is that we are giving the opposition no time on the ball. Are we pressing higher up the pitch or something? It looks like it...

I said consistency is the key wouldn't write us off just yet, still 19 games to go and 57 points to pick up, in all honesty playoffs is where we will be heading at the moment, but that is why the championship is such a beautiful league come the last game of the season a win could guarantee automatic promotion
iancognito Posted 23 January 2012 Posted 23 January 2012 Another great show, they've obviously took a lot from the Forest game. Most impressive players on the night were St Ledger, Wellens and Nugent and Drinkwater and Delfonouso had a few good touches too. I remember when Nuge went off after about 3 minutes in the home game when he did his hamstring, he looked absolutely gutted and you can see why tonight, he really was enjoying shoving the banter back down their throats. The play-offs are still a long way off IMO because we need to build this run into 6 or 7 games before we can talk about promotion again. If we're still winning well by the end of next month, then we can think down that road.

Fantastic support at the ground fans singing for the whole 90mins, Special mention to the young lad who only must have been 6 or 7 who stood up the whole game waving his scarf and really getting in to it! Chant of the match "We Got A Free Scarf, We Got A Free Scarf....Top's Splashing Out...We Got A Free Scarf" Nugent was class and really geeing up the away fans, Best day out in a long long time!
