Kasper 7.25 (One important reaction save from a close range glancing header within another mostly competent performance. A couple of goalkicks were sprayed like a novice golfer but he always tried to be constructive with his distribution and was mostly successful).

Peltier 7 (Contributed busily to another clean sheet but still gave his man too much space at times).

Mills 8.5 (Formidable. Added an assist to a thorooughly dominant defensive performance and even some reasonably competent passing).

Ledger 8 (Read the game well and often offered himself as the spare man. Seemed in total control meaning that Swindon were mostly limited to shots from distance).

Konchesky 6 (Might easily have been sent off for seemingly trying to slice his opponent in half with a tackle. Quite why I don't know and although busy and committed he was always convincing today).

Gallagher 6 (Such a frustrating player. But never imposed himself on the match).

Wellens 6 (Sometimes awful and sometimes constructive. Still seemed a potential weakness at times).

Danns 7 (His abounding energy and commitment earned him a mark more than Wellens - one 30-yard run and tackle sticks in the mind. Might have scored with a low drive past the right post but his first touch too often lifts the ball off the ground for some reason and he was either indecisive or caught in possession on occasions. Still considerable room for improvement but he has given us more urgency.).

Dyer 6.75 (A real team performance. His pace posed Swindon problems early on but he also made good passing choices on the ball in midfield situations. Didn't get more chance to take people on once we started defending from deeper in trying not to give anything away).

Beckford 9 (Two goals is what strikers are paid to do - and these came from a limited number of chances all round. It was also refreshing to see him spot team-mates runs and use them).

Nugent 6.5 (One header should have been despatched and he was so close to making contact with another chance on the near post. Not his best game but still a mthreat).

Nice to see Hopper get a game and do alright and to see Pearson maintain our momentum without undue drama.

How the hell can people say Gally was OK etc he gave the ball away 10times I hope he will never start another game for us he's not worth having in the team just because he scores a few from 25 yards. 4/10

St Ledger 8.7/10 looks like he's loving it now and I think bamba will struggle to get back in now.

Schmeichel 6.5 - Some good throwing, mixed kicking and had a nightmare 5 minutes towards the end of the first half. Still, a clean sheet.

Peltier 6.5 - Excellent in the air and full of energy. Not looked great defending on the floor for a while now though.

Mills 7.5 - Never would have thought he would get 2 assists in 2 games. Some awful hoofing again, but imperious in the air.

St. Ledger 8.5 - Best player on the pitch.

Konchesky 6.5 - Probably lucky not to see red for a poor first half challenge. Otherwise was his usual solid self.

Gallagher 5 - An assist and a couple of good crosses, but far too cowardly. A complete luxury player.

Danns 6 - Energetic as always but often sloppy in possession.

Wellens 6.5 - Mixed bag.

Dyer 7 - A really potent threat down the left-hand side.

Nugent 6 - Huffed and puffed. Missed a sitter.

Beckford 7.5 - Two well-taken goals. Also missed an excellent chance with a header and surrendered possession too frequently, particularly in the first half. But he's here to score goals, and as long as it's in the Cup, he's doing it at the moment.

Maybe to get him at his best we should get Gallagher in his natural born position... the bench warmer.

SSL 9 Brilliant game, never ruffled, commanding at the back MOTM easily! Thank God he didn't move to Ipswich.

Konchesky 6 Hard worker & reliable, but has had far better games.

Gallagher 5 I agree with other posters. He had a poor game & maybe should not have played?

Wellens 5 Against Forest & Southampton he was really good, but today very poor game.

Danns 7 Tireless worker, reminds me of Robbie Savage, all over the field, chases everything.

Dyer 6 Fairly quiet game but didn't let the team down.

Beckford 8 How he has changed from just a few games ago. He didn't look interested, but now he puts himself about, gets into good positions, all round a big improvement & has won over the fans. I hope he can now get some goals in the league.

Nugent 6.5 Hate to criticise him 'cos he is so keen to impress, but not one of his best games.

Howard 7 Did well in the time he was on the field, still an important part of the City squad.

Kennedy n/a Can't really give him a rating as he didn't really see much of the ball.

Hopper n/a I like the look of this young fella, a gary Lineker in the making? Yes please!

Schmeichel - 8. Saved everything he had to, again. We've actually kept a very high number of clean sheets this year.

Peltier - 7. Typical Peltier, nothing too special but did well.

Mills - 9. Rock. Literally faultless.

St Ledger - 9. See Mills.

Konchesky - 6. He's had far better games, arguably lucky to have played all 90, but made a goal-saving block so I can forgive all.

Gallagher - 5. Put some good crosses in, apart from that he was atrocious.

Wellens - 5. Crap. Inconsistent and his attitude was too cocky.

Danns - 7. Only midfielder of ours to come out with any credit, read the game well at times and got involved.

Dyer - 5. Largely ineffective, too much hiding inside rather than going out wide, again.

Nugent - 6. Didn't really do anything good or bad.

Beckford - 8. Two goals, right place at the right time, unspectacular but that's a goalscorers performance, he was fairly quiet other than that but he's won us the game.

Howard - 6. No real time to do anything but he won some headers.

Kennedy - 6. Again a bit late but wasn't bad.

Hopper - 6. Didn't look out of place, good effort in his cameo appearance.

Pearson - 8. Limited squad for the game but still got us through it with a victory, and another clean sheet. Hitting some good form now.

Not that I'm making excuses for Gallagher but I don't think he was fit today. Surprised to see him playing and filled a problem position given the absentees.

I was going to post the same - looked very much to me like he'd been asked to play despite not really being fit. Emphasises the need to get another winger or two through the door!

Agree about Gallagher being a luxury player and a bottler however, it wasn't his worst game. He needs a kick up the arse, same with Kingy.

Kasper 7 - Good when called upon, but I still don't like his kicking too much

Pelts 7 - Ok but needed more protection from a better right winger

Mills 8 - Solid

St Ledger 9 - Yet again another superb game. Best defender we have.

Konchesky 7 - Ok.

Gallagher 4 - Simply not good enough. Too lightweight, gets in everyone's way and comes inside too much leaving Peltier/RB positon open.

Wellens 7 - Decent. Not great but not brilliant. Great ball's for the goals though.

Danns 8 - Very energetic, and better in the middle like we have seen in the past few games.

Dyer 6 - Fades away out of every game after about 30 minutes. Did cover the left back well though, and sit in at times.

Beckford 8 - Good performance. Worked harder, and the goals were taken well.

Nugent 7 - Not his best performance, but not bad either. The Swindon goalkeeper made a great save from his header.

Agree with this, though I'd give Dyer a 7. And maybe Gallagher a 3......

I swear I actually didn't see Hopper touch the ball once, so can't quite figure our where the praise is coming from. But then maybe I just wasn't looking at the right moments.

Also I wouldn't have sent Konchesky off - thought yellow was just about right, though given some of the tackles that red cards are dealt out for these days I am quite surprised he didn't get sent off...
