LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Surely if we wanted Cotterill we would of got him by now? Plus I no need in resting Konchesky
marbelladave Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Drinkwater in for Wellens and Delfounso in for Gallagher in my opinion Don't think Wellens will be up for completing two 90 mins in a week Spot on, not sure whether to play Delfouneso up front with Beckford or let him play on the right....... Surely if we wanted Cotterill we would of got him by now? Plus I no need in resting Konchesky I think Cotterill is 'backup', so it depends if we get any other wide players or not........ I thought Konchesky looke a bit tired and 'frazzled' yesterday, Kennedy might well be worth a start. Watching the 'Boro game at the moment, they are really going hard at each other, 90 minutes of this and they will be knackered.....
Tielemans63 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 They've been impressive in the first half v Sunderland. Will be a tough test I'm sure, however if we are serious about making a late surge we have to expect to beat good teams like Boro.
bluesbrothers Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Granted, they're beating Sunderland. But honestly speaking, from this 45 minutes I don't see why we should have any fear. They seem sloppy in midfield and defence, and we can more than match their ability going forward. Their talisman Emnes in particular looks suprisingly lacklustre. EDIT: Saved by the flag. Sunderland just haven't turned up. Beatable outfit.
Tielemans63 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Just realised they've got Danny Coyne in goal! He must be about 48 and he was shit when he was 25!
NewburyFox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Danny Coyne just gone off injured! I'm good mates with a season ticket holder at Boro and I know that the kid that has come on in his place is not that good. Made a right mess of a long range shot a couple of weeks back vs Burnley. I fancy us to win this, they're not that strong going forward and we're playing with confidence at the moment so I fancy a 1-0 or 2-0 win.
Simmo86 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 All depends on how we play, if its like Forest, Soton and the majority of the Swindon game we'll win. Fancy us 2-0

Conor Ripley - son of ex Boro & Blackburn winger Stuart.
beryllind Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 They looked strong to me lets hope they are Kn--kered
ajthefox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Not gonna be as easy a game as some are predicting.
Corky Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 They're in a poor run of form in the league, so it could be a good time to play them. Drinkwater and Delufouneso will be back, and we could have potential new signings involved.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Hopefully MON's Sunderland will tire them all out today. They did lose their keeper today I believe.
Fox92 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Not an easy game but I feel we may be good enough to sneak a win, 1-0 or something. Think it will be one of those games. I would bring Drinkwater in for Gallagher, that is all, looking at something like; Kasper Peltier -- Mills -- St Ledger -- Konchesky Drinkwater -- Wellens -- Danns Beckford -- Nugent -- Dyer
davieG Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 They'll be significantly tougher opposition than we've faced in the last 3 games.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 After watching the Sunderland game I am changing my prediction to 1-0 now I hope St. Ledger gets a goal if not wednesday but soon!

Wouldnt be a good move IMO. I agree with bringing drinkwater though!
EnderbyFox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 If we don't bring in a wide player then i can see NP using the formation used at Palace (if Morgan is confirmed) Kasper Morgan Mills St Ledger Pelts Danns Drinkwater Wellens Konch Beckford Nugent Thoughts?

I know it is a different game because we were away, but, I thought we were creative a fluid in what I think was a 3.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Let's not beat about the bush... If we want to keep the momentum up this is a game we need to win. Borough could be one of those sides we are competing with come the end of the season for a play off spot. Three points needed.. Anything else is insufficient now IMO.
cairnsy Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 4-4-2 with drinkwater in for wellens (fitness) fonz in for gallagher Hopefully come out with a win if you look at current form but you never know with leicester
LCFC FOX Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Kasper Peltier Mills St Ledger Koncheskey Drinkwater Wellens Danns Dyer Beckford Nugent subs: Logan , Morgan , Kennedy , Gallagher , Delfounseo
dannythefox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 We'll beat these we've won the last three games now. 3-1 Beckford, Nugent and Drinkwater on the score sheet.
GBLCFC Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Kasper Peltier Mills St Ledger Koncheskey Drinkwater Wellens Danns Dyer Beckford Nugent subs: Logan , Morgan , Kennedy , Gallagher , Delfounseo I would like to see us play this team. It would be good for Drinkwater to get a start and I haven't been impressed with Gally recently. I reckon we will win and it's important to keep up the momentum we have been creating.

The league is pretty tight and a play off spot though possible is a really tough ask. We need 2 points a game average to have a realistic chance, we need to maintain our current form and keep winning, we have to take all 3 points on wednesday to keep the momentum going. A lot will depend on the next couple of days, we need reinforcements if we are going to stand a chance of maintaining the sort of form necessary........
