A good performance to keep the run going and a 2 or 3-1 win.

No Julio Arca so id fancy Fonz' pace against whoever comes in to fill that void

Barring injuries, keep the team unchanged. Boro have had a few unexpected results this season which has probably cost them another 8-10 points. We get even a narrow win against these and the team will start to believe they can beat anyone in this tinpot league.

Gallagher has been consistently our worst player over the last few games and the time has come for him to be dropped. Dyer has also been ineffective and in my opinion the next weakest link.

I suggest Kennedy for Dyer on the left. He will add some steel to the side and has a good left foot delivery.

Drinkwater in for Gallagher.

This is the starting 11 for me. However, maybe Drinkwater in the centre and Gally on the right, because Wellens might not be able to handle another full 90 minutes.

EDIT: I also reckon a new signing or two might make an appearance on the bench.

Peltier. Mills. St ledger. Konchesky

Drinkwater. Wellens. Danns. Dyer

Nugent. Beckford

I know pearson wont make any changes but I really dont rate gallagher at the minute and with Drinkwater playing well on his debut i think he should be given the start. 2-0 Beckford and Danns

I would be happy to see Drinkwater on the right, I know he is not a winger, but we don't need a winger on the right, we spent much of NP's last season with Oakley playing on the right of the midfield with Dyer on the left, it seemed to work, having a right footed equivalent of Dyer could leave us very stretched and easily overrun in midfield, for all his energy Dyer is not the best when we don't have the ball. you don't need to be a pacy touchline hugger to play on the right of midfield.

Re: Delfonesou, I have spoken to Villa fans and they rate him, but they say he is not a winger or midfielder.

I really hope Drinkwater doesn't end having to play on the wing. Would be a real shame if Wellens gets in ahead of him in the middle.

Agree Wellens deserves a break and we need Drinkwater TO PLAY HIS POSITION! CM Creative interplay passing in the middle not the wing!

Right hand side is a current weak spot, Gally was injured the other day & may have played with pain injections over the weekend, he's not great defensively & Boro will certainly look to exploit Peltier often being out of position, think it will be perfect for him to play there IMO

Wellens & Danns bossed against Forest & Saints & did OK against Swindon

He isn't a winger, but then neither is Gallagher or Danns or Oakley or Abe, if he is asked to play on the right and hug the toughline and get crosses in then it will be a failure. If he is asked to play on the right of midfield, come in and support Wellens and Danns drop back and help out Peltier and provide an outlet on the right then I think he is more than capable of doing that. Kennedy is not a left winger and yet people want him to play out there.

NP is a cautious manager and may see 2 attacking wingers as being too risky. We will see, but from what I saw of Drinkwater against Southampton he looked very comfortable out there.

You say that but there was no way anyone could have predicted the same 442 line-up that thrashed Forest with 2 attacking wide-men would be taken to Southampton; a team with amazing home record & were top of the league at the start of that weekend's matches & have torn teams apart there scoring the most goals in the league & conceding the 2nd least

Attack seems to be NP's best form of defence

I predict same team with Drinkwater in for Gally, Gally rarely sticks out wide anyway & most of his attacking play is coming in down the centre (allowing Peltier space to overlap) & Drinkwater has a bit extra physical presence that should help cover Peltier better.

To be fair NP didn't have many options for team selection, I don't see Gallagher as an attacking wide man, he is more of a wide midfielder, he does also normally put a shift in trying to cover the full back and midfield, he is just not very good at winning the ball.

When I say 2 attacking wide midfielders I mean 2 Lloyd Dyer types, hug the touchline bomb to the corner and whip a cross in.

We rarely played with 2 wingers under NP before, despite having a few on our books, Adams, Gradel, N'Guessan and of course Dyer, he would prefer someone like Oakley who would be less attacking but offer more support off the ball.

I'm feeling really confident about this game. If cov scum can beat them then surely we can. Would love us to get another clean sheet too. Although I really like bamba I just think this back 4 has more solidarity about it. Drinkwater to start!

Again! Where's the right wing man?

We've seen too much playing players in their wrong positions. Although, less so under Pearson than under Svennis

C'mon Nige pull yer finger out... Right winger needed!

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson will today check on the condition of in-form striker Jermaine Beckford before deciding whether to change a winning team for the visit of Middlesbrough tomorrow.

Beckford, who has scored five goals in the last three games as City have put together a three-game winning run, limped out of Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round victory against Swindon Town with a tight hamstring.

Pearson has Danny Drinkwater, Nathan Delfouneso, Liam Moore and Conrad Logan all available again after they were ineligible to face the Robins. The City boss admitted he has more options to consider for the visit of Boro, who have lost their last three Championship games.

"Jermaine's hamstring was a bit tight so we decided not to take any chances," said Pearson. "We could do without any more injuries because we don't have a lot of scope, but we do have players who will come back into consideration for Middlesbrough.

"We had four players missing against Swindon because they were either cup-tied or, in Delfouneso's case, not allowed to play.

"We do have more options for midweek but we will see how the players are."

Beckford did not join in full training yesterday, but City are confident he will be fit.

Lee Peltier did not train fully as he has a minor ankle injury, but the availability of Delfouneso is likely to mean that academy striker Tom Hopper is unlikely to follow up his senior debut.

The 18-year-old was drafted into the squad after a spate of injuries and went on as a late substitute against the Robins, and impressed Pearson.

"I thought he did very well," said the City boss. "He trained with us on Friday and he didn't look out of place. It is good experience for him.

"I think that is the beauty of players missing out through injury or whatever, it gives other players an opportunity.

"Would he have had the chance had circumstances been different? Probably not, but it won't do him any harm and, when he went on, he contributed very well. He looked very dangerous and, for him and all the lads in the academy, it gives them the incentive to aspire to being a first-team player.

"At a club like ourselves they get a greater opportunity to progress into the first team than they would in a Premier League team.

"Managers can moan about players being injured sometimes, but when you have young players who can come in and do a job, that is good for us all."

Looks the nuts to me, that's what I'd play, but I suspect we'll play this

I still think we need another winger.

EDIT: Just seen Pelts might be absent... I think St Ledger can play right back and I'd be happy with him or Moore there.

I think this could be interesting, Moore backing up Gally could free him up from defensive duties and just focus on whipping in the crosses

Middlesbrough face a goalkeeping crisis for their trip to Leicester.

The Teessiders were without Jason Steele (thigh) in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Sunderland in the FA Cup and fellow stopper Danny Coyne (calf) came off injured in the second half.

Coyne has definitely been ruled out while Steele faces a late fitness test after participating in some light independent training on Tuesday. Teenager Connor Ripley would start should Steele miss out once more.

Manager Tony Mowbray has Kevin Thomson back after he completed a one-match suspension against the Black Cats but fellow midfielder Julio Arca serves the second game of his own three-match ban.

Striker Bart Ogbeche (hamstring) and midfield pair Nicky Bailey (medial ligament damage) and Merouane Zemmama (groin) are all long-term absentees.

Middlesbrough turned down a bid from Bolton for Australia international Rhys Williams early on Tuesday and it remains to be seen if he will be involved.
