dannythefox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Kyle Naughton for certain we struggle without him!
RonnieTodger Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Was only 3 when Muzzy was a loan player. Obviously I remember him whilst he was permanent and what a legend he is. But for me it's Yakubu, whilst Naughton worked harder. I was at Preston when The Yak he made his debut and scored. Just remember 2,500 Leicester fans going mad and belting out FEED THE YAK AND HE WILL SCORE. Then Iain Hume scored right at the end and we drew 1-1. Oh no, not right at the end. Andy King missed a 1 on 1 right at the end
gazfox9 Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Obviously Muzzy, but I'm gonna rule him out as he did later sign. Recently it has to be Naughton. Would love to see us bid for the lad should we manage to get up.
reynard Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Some great ones mentioned , but I'd have to agree with those calling for Gerry Daly . He was a class player edit; obviously Muzzy would take it, but i was judging solely players who were on loan only not ones that became permanent signings Daly was the best. His influence far outweighs that of any other loan signing. Muzzy was good but other players signed had just as much influence. Without Daly we would not have got promotion that year. He simply was the difference and not signing him the next season was a massive error. Other players may have been better players or given greater service to the club but in terms of the impact one player has had on a season I don't think there is anyone better.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Gerry Daly Kyle Naughton Kevin Campbell Chris Kirkland
Cecchini1976 Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Kevin Campbell, absaloute quality, and when the Brighton away game was called off just as the coaches arrived( was meant to be his last game) he shuck all fans who traveled hand
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Fulop was very good but for me I can't see past Muzzy. Superb on loan and went onto legendary status in the best city team in the modern era.
OLD norfox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 My favorite was Gerry Daly but Kevin Campell and Muzzy contributed much as well
leicesterisme Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Kyle Naughton and Mark Davies for me. Davies was an absolute class above in his short time here, joy to watch.
Vlad the Fox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Kevin Campbell, absaloute quality, and when the Brighton away game was called off just as the coaches arrived( was meant to be his last game) he shuck all fans who traveled hand This. I can remember him standing outside talking to the fans. Shaking his hand made the trip worthwhile. Top bloke.
Tielemans63 Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Wasn't Roberto Mancini a loan signing from Lazio? Or was he on a free? I can't be arsed to check the Internet I'm currently using.
Vlad the Fox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Loan I think. Any one remember Laurie Cunningham. Mainly came off the bench to play but could change a game, class.
21st Century Fox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Wasn't Roberto Mancini a loan signing from Lazio? Or was he on a free? I can't be arsed to check the Internet I'm currently using. Mancini was a free he'd technically retired and had become a coach at Lazio.
Uncle Monty Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Mancini was a free he'd technically retired and had become a coach at Lazio. I heard that he wanted to get into English football, and his then manager Sven, told him to go and play in England to get a feel or it.
21st Century Fox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 I heard that he wanted to get into English football, and his then manager Sven, told him to go and play in England to get a feel or it. Yeah he quit playing for Lazio, became Sven's number two and then came out of retirement to have a taste of English football before taking the managers post at Fiorentina, so he wasn't technically on Lazio's books as a player I believe.
