Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 It is when I first learnt about the loan system and I always champion this player from time to time.... "There's only one...................................... Kjetil Osvold" Anyone remember him on loan from F*rest. Will ask my mate at work, the one and only ex-Leicester player Steve Prindiville about him.
skegness fox Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Fulop was quality if we had signed him permanantly the season after i honestly believe we would have stayed up,Muzzy as he turned out to be one of the best players the club has ever had and i remember going to Grimsby in the 82 promotion season and watching Gerry Daly run the show, also liked Paul Moran.
Salieri Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 I'd actually forgotten about Kevin Campbell. He came in and made quite an impact, loved him at the time.
foxoffderby Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Muzzy Izzet no contest In recent times Tom Cleverley and the Yak but Muzzy overall.
Tielemans63 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 For the overall feel good factor he brought to the club and his contribution on the field I'd have to go with Roman Bednar. Sheer artistry.
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Not my favourite but someone who came in towards the end of the 93/94 season was Paul Kerr, Hardly a glittering career but came in and helped us towards play-offs. Also chipped n with a couple of goals.
Zingari Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Some great ones mentioned , but I'd have to agree with those calling for Gerry Daly . He was a class player edit; obviously Muzzy would take it, but i was judging solely players who were on loan only not ones that became permanent signings
Fox92 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Marcus Bent, Bent, Bent. I did actually like him during his short loan at the club. Scored some good goals as well, Liverpool away and Chartlon away in partiuclar. In recent years, I'd have to go with Kyle Naughton I suppose (although I wouldn't class him as a hero, just seen a picture posted on here of him on "sporting heroes",

poggypogpog Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Are you people serious, this starts and ends with Muzzy Izzet. Have a +1 for ending the contest there and then!
Karljohn Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 just been reading the ben marshall thread and a few shef weds fans saying that they took him to their hearts and will miss him i know there are a lot of loanees that come and go but who has been your favourite and who you wish could have stayed for me it has to be KEVIN CAMPBELL the way the fans took to him was unreal Totally agree, Kevin Campbell, still remember him walking around the track at Filbert St covered in scarves when the loan ended.
Saxondale Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Are you people serious, this starts and ends with Muzzy Izzet. Can't believe it took 20 posts before anybody mentioned Muzzy! If we're talking past few years, Kyle Naughton for me.
rico Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Steve Moran was also quite good, was here same time as Kevin Campbell
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Bent was good as previously stated i wanted him to stay longer. Nauhgton is up there with Mark Davies and Cleverley, but Fulop was quality too, we'd have stayed up with him in goal.
Lambert09 Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Most recently Im going to go with Waghorn.......that boy had serious impact
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Great thread! But just as good would be 'Loanees we thought would be good, but who turned out to be utter shite!' Bednar for me...
Ian W LCFC Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Kyle Naughton because he skinned his man and scored some great goals when he cut inside!
