Corky Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Are you people serious, this starts and ends with Muzzy Izzet. The original post said "who you wish had stayed longer". Muzzy thankfully did.

MPH Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Without a doubt ( for me ) it has to be Kevin Campbell. Mainly because at the time our team was so so bad that he stuck out like a sore thumb with the clear difference in quality he had over everyone else. We got him on loan from Arsenal with the instructions that he was not for sale at all and we should not make a bid for him. I remember his last home game and he got a standing ovation and was the last off the pitch, as he was clapping the crowed, ect. Very emotional to see him go. We of course then got in trouble with Arsenal as they thought we had unsettled him - we tabled a £400,000 bid. I then remember an interview he gave about a year or two after where he said he really enjoyed his time at Leicester and he still had a Leicester Scarf on his bedroom wall. Brought a tear to my eye it did.
Guy Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 To the youngsters on here it would obviously be some of Sven's recruits last season such as Yakubu and Kyle Naughton. Older ones will cite the likes of Gerry Daley but for my 35-45 something generation then it's still got to be Muzzy Izzet from Chelsea (before we signed him up proper once we were in the Prem.!)
Jimbo Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Kyle Naughton, Mark Davies and Tom Cleverly Just with those 3 players alone in our team right now and we'd be so much better off than we are. Fave overall is and always will be Muzzy, but of course we signed him so I can't really say I wished he'd stayed for a bit longer, deserved better than us at the time he left. Absolute legend
Will1981 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Mike Galloway what a legend, we should have signed him.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Got to be Kyle Naughton for me. Storming up and down the wing. Never stopped running. Good crosser. Great finish. Cutting in. Firing in from distance. Awesome player. Future england RB
Jari Rantanen's Big Shorts Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Kevin Campbell and Paul Moran for me. Signed by Pleat and changed what was turning out to be a dismal season for us.
z-layrex Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Does Ricardo count as a loan signing. None of that!
Bayfox Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Loved Kevin Campbell at the time, Davies, Naughton and Cleverley would get a mention but clearly Muzzy, afterall that header against Watford was priceless!!!
flowwolf Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Gerry Daley Gerry Daley Mikey, absolutely love your avatar , is he on loan ?
bald reynard Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Gerry Daley Got to agree with you Mikey. He loan signing was probably the single most important factor in us getting promotion in 1983. Can never understand why we never signed him permanently that summer. Only thing to add ...... is his name is spelt Gerry Daly !
NottsFox Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Martyn Waghorn was brilliant as a player and morale-boosting for the fans during that 09-10 season! Tom Cleverley probably for skill though. He was superb!
Salieri Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Izzet for me, and Mark Davies was superb in his short time here. Oh, and Roman Bednar.
