Harry would be insane to take the job now with the squad he's built at Spurs.

Agreed. Would be much better sticking at Spurs in the longer term. S'why I can maybe see him taking it just for the Euros, then going back. He can't lose really.

That'd be great

should of sacked him after the world cup, shouldn't of reappointed Terry as captain, especially without talking to Rio, good riddance

Beckham's free this summer, isn't he?

I geniuenly would love him to be manager. I don't care if he hasn't had past experience I think he would be great. David Beckham with Terry Venables helping

I love some of the reactions I've heard to this news.

"I wanted him to go but he's dropped us right in it close to a finals"- So you wanted him out but not right now?

"Shit appointment"- Well he wasn't, because before the World Cup 2010 he was considered our best chance of success and a breath of fresh air given the previous managers.

Cant see Harry taking the job so i hope Guus Hiddink gets it. (Yes i do support England and no i dont care if the manager is English or not)

Would love Hiddink. Couldn't care less where he's from. He's got a great record and with lots of international experience too. Seemed to have a fantastic motivational effect at Chelsea.

Not fussed he's gone, too negative and the players never really seemed to play for him.

Redknapp in temporary charge for the Euro's will suit everyone. Hope it happens.

Whether it's Mourinho or Megson, we won't win Euro 2012.

We need a motivator though so the tournament isn't a complete car crash. Somebody who knows and isn't afraid to blood the youngsters in preparation for WC2014 and beyond. Don't be surprised to see Stuart Pearce take over temporarily before going for a full-time coach after the tournament.

fair play to him, just shows what a bunch of wankers we have running our national team and the reason why we will never win anything. to strip terry of the armband was a disgrace, so much for innocent till proven guilty, nice to see your country backs you up in times like these.

football wise it is not a bad decision because he never seemed to get going, harry will probabaly want to finish the season at spurs and o'neil is just too soon after his appointment at sunderland.

cue another shit appointment !

Stuart Pearce for me, Would he leave the GB squad he's put so much effort in sorting out though??

Please God no.

if it had been you you would of been suspended from work until after the investigation, they would of been within their rights to say he couldn't PLAY for England, which they haven't, until after this is sorted, the fact so many people are sticking up for Terry is appalling, fact is he hasn't been good enough for England for over a year and was only in the team because he was captain.

Lescott, Jagielka & Cahill are the best English cb's around atm (Phil Jones ain't playing as a CB) and it should be 2 from those 3 for me anyway

I think the FA were right to strip Terry of the captaincy.

I know that nothing had been proven, but what would the FA have looked like if the charges were proved, and they had backed Terry.

Also, kicking out racism in the game is one of the FA's top priorties (maybe if it was football we would be in a better position), so I think they were right.
