hornyhollthefox123 Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Just have to win. Ridiculous to think we haven't won two games in a row in the league. Don't think we can afford to play both Wellens and Gallagher in the same midfield away from home. Kasper Pelts Mills SSL Konch Gallagher Danns Drinkwater Dyer Nugent Beckford
Captain... Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Just have to win. Ridiculous to think we haven't won two games in a row in the league. Don't think we can afford to play both Wellens and Gallagher in the same midfield away from home. Kasper Pelts Mills SSL Konch Gallagher Danns Drinkwater Dyer Nugent Beckford I think it will be the Brighton line-up, with Danss and Wellens in the middle and DD out wide, NP doesn't seem to like 2 genuine wide men so I can't see Marshall starting unless it is instead of Dyer, and Gallagher has been struggling a bit of late in terms of fitness, Back at Southampton, cramp against Cardiff. Woudl be a big decision from NP to leave out Gally after Saturday but the good of the team outweighs the individual.
EnderbyFox Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 I'd rest Wellens for this one, as we need him on Saturday because DD is cup tied. Danns and DD in the centre for me.

Regardless of the differing opinions on Gallagher it will be difficult to drop him for tonight. I'm a fan of Gallagher, (not trying to bring this argument up again) just don't know if he has the stamina / fitness to play two games in 3 days

acooling08 Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 PLEASE NIGEL, DON'T PLAY DRINKWATER ON THE WING!
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Like against S'ton away you mean ? Just generally i feel we have less of a physical edge with them both playing. I appreciate at St.Marys the result was different and everyone played well. Gallagher was only on for 30 minutes though, and the result was as a result of a change of tactics. Pressing higher, higher tempo etc. Appreciate your point though, it has worked before. If there was a longer break between games then that would be different, but i doubt Gallagher can play two lots of 90 minutes in 3 and a bit days. Also if Wellens plays 90 minutes also tonight then he will no doubt be playing three lots in a week, given DD is cup tied for Saturday. Seems a tad unrealistic.
foxfanazer Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 I'm usually optimistic that we'll win but I've got a bad feeling about tonight's game for some reason. Thought we did a good job on Cardiff but still only scraped it in the end. I would bring in danns and Marshall for wellens and Gallagher tonight purely because I'm not sure their fitness will be good enough for 2 games in 4 days. Gally could make an impact off the bench if we were chasing the game. Really hope these are our first back to back victories of the season but I'm really not confident
FoxTrott Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Can't see Pearson dropping Gallagher unless he's injured. Don't see why he should be unless for fitness reasons, if he can pick up where he left off and hopefully get the crowd on his side again.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 City will be unchanged tonight I'll be amazed if it's not ..........same team ....same formation ......similar performance as Sat .......similar result we all hope !!!
foxfanazer Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 City will be unchanged tonight Do u think wellens will have the fitness to play tonight and saturday with drinkwater being ineligible to play against Norwich?
Unabomber Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 feeling good about tonight, 0 - 1 Nugent like the Pearson away displays of a few seasons back.
JonnyBoy Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 the positives we can take before going into the match is the that despite the sh*t refereing decisions we haven't played badly at all so i hope we can continue this form tonight and i'm sure we will breaze it. Wish i was there tonight! i'm sure the lads will sing there hearts out (Pun not intended). I'll be in a restaurant checking my phone for scores, as long as the Mrs's has her glass of wine she wont mind!
Number 6 Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Roses are red, And violets are bluuuuueeeee, Coventry are sh#t, And Forest are too.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Bets placed for tonight. COME ON CITEH!
leicesterisme Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Unchanged side. Schmeichel; Peltier, Mills ©, St. Ledger, Konchesky; Gallagher, Wellens, Drinkwater, Dyer, Nugent, Beckford. Subs: Logan, Morgan, Marshall, Danns, Howard.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Think you would be silly not to go really, think we will win and our recent games there have eben worth going to. I'd go if i was in your position. Told you it was worth going.
