Kasper 7 - Cant decide whether a penalty or not. Everytime Howard plays and a defender does that to him we call for a free kick. Great save from the penalty and unlucky not to get the follow up.

Morgan 9 - On the evidence of today, hard to understand why anyone questioned the signing

Kennedy 8 - Perfectly balanced full back performance

Marshall 7 - Great set piece delivery and showed good promise. Faded away but will definitely improve the team

Wellens 8 - Captains performance. After all the critisism a great performance

Danns 7.5 - Runs and runs all day. Not the best in possession but the workrate overcomes it

Dyer 8 - Dangerous all game and his crossing was pretty good today too

Morgan - 9 - MotM for me... Bossed it, scored with a backheel from corner but wasn't given.

SSL - 8 - Got turned inside out by some tricky players, but was very good & great goal.

Kennedy - 8 - Again, very tricky opposition & did very well

Marshall - 7 - Difficult game excellent corners think he'll be excellent in mid-term

Wellens - 9 - Very good performance, was up against some very strong players & still played very well.

Danns - 8 - Brilliant energy, loses ball a bit much but made it difficult for quality opposition to have time on the ball

Dyer - 8 - Turned their fullback inside out

Beckford - 7 - Good, but needed to do more to be an outlet in the first half, tricky run made space for Nuge to score

Nuge - 7 - Good, again didn't do enough to be open to passes, great goal cutting-in, how often are teams going to allow that knowing what he can do

Konch - 7 - Good, helped close the game off

Fonz - 7 - accomplished, but didn't get much a of chance

NP - 9 - Great team selection, seemed to make the difference, made the subs at the right time & positions too

Officials - -10 - What a farce, would hjave been 3-0 if they were at the races, gave Norwich all the 50:50's in first half as well as 2 potentially game-changing decisions wrong (their pen & Morgan's goal)

I thought Pelts got caught out a few times. Early on in quite quick succession he had to bust a gut to get back and make a couple of last ditch tackles.

Notably he seemed to have disappeared and we got hit on the break in the last few minutes after losing the ball in the corner, no idea why he wasn't in position 2-1 up with a couple of mins to play

(I'm not being negative btw, I agree with the other ratings, thought the 2 centre backs, Konchesky and Wellens were excellent, it's just that Pelts stuck out for me)

I don't know whether we play well when Wellens performs or whether Wellens plays well when the whole team performs but he was my MOTM today. Played brilliantly and him and Danns together were quality.

Schmeichel 7 - Gave away a harsh penalty, but apart from that decent display

Peltier 8 - Seemed back to his best, solid shift today

Morgan 9 - What a beast of a player, solid as a rock

St Ledger 9 - Great headed goal, good passing, solid display

Kennedy 7 - Decent all round display, good player this lad

Marshall 7 - Dangerous set pieces, expected slightly more though

Wellens 6 - Gave the ball away too much, but drove forward at times

Danns 6 - Woeful passing at times, but also turned and drove forward well

Dyer 8 - Has looked poor, but was full of danger today, very pleasing

Nugent 8 - Slacking first half, improved in the second, bags of energy and class goal

Beckford 8 - Excellent movement, just keeps on getting better

Just got home from Carrow Road, as we live about 40 mins from Nowich......

Kasper 7 - Awesome save for the penalty, unlucky with the follow up. Mostly untested until the last 15, where he looked more than capable. -1 for distribution though, Poor from kicking off the ground

Pelts 7 - Another quiet game. Honestly thought he would be dropped after the events of previous weeks. Unreal challange in the first half when they broke away.

St. Ledger 8.5 - Great to see him get a goal at last. Clearly a player who's confidence will shape his performance. Classy in all aspects; his passing along the deck was a welcome change from Mills' hit 'n hope approach. Extra 0.5 for the goal.

Wes 9 - UNREAL. Bossed both of their front men in the air, and on the ground. Makes up for a lack of pace with a fantastic reading of the game. Will be a disgrace if Mills returns, given how solid both CB's were.

Kennedy 7.5 - Saw a lot of the ball in the first half. 2 or 3 really good crosses throughout the game. Technically sound, but maybe needs to be more urgent in their half.

Marshall 7.5 - Tricky winger coupled with a decent delivery. Suprised to see him come off, as he gave their full-back problems when he got one on one.

Danns 8.5 - Was everywhere. Said to my brother prior kickoff that we would get dominated in the middle, but how wrong i was. Won the vast majority of his 50-50's, and kept us ticking over throughout.

Wellens 9 - My MOTM. The Wellens of old. Busy, bustling and tireless. Had both of their CM's in his back pocket. Fantastic distribution. Despite all this, will he take this into Derby next week?

Dyer 8 - Russell Martin really struggled to contain him. Maybe should of scored in the second half. Rarely gave the ball away, given what has gone previous. Like Wellens, i pray he won't go missing next week.

Nugent 8.5 - Well taken goal. Ran from start to finish, creating space for Beckford. Fantastic spirit, something the rest of the team should feed from.

Beckford 7 - Glimpses of something special. Brilliant run to beat x4 players in the second half. That being said, ultimately frustrating and clumsy with the ball at his feet. Paints a target for himself at times.

SUBS:

Fonz 7 - Confident on the ball. Not sure where he fits in, but whilst we have him he needs to be utilised correctly.

Konchesky 7 - Dropped or rested? Distribution was largely ok. Played a shocker of a ball across our 18 yard line at one point though.

Pearson 9 - Spot on. The choice to drop Mills was completely justified, given our defensive performance. Has taken a lot of stick in the last month or so, but a cup run maybe a saving grace.

Fans 11 - Amazing. Never stopped giving it to the home lot. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry when the bloke next to me planted a cheeky kiss after our second goal.

Kasper 6,5 - I don't really understand why people are doubting the penalty decision. It was pretty clear. One none too clever decision on his part (which he has a habit of doing) is pulling his rating down quite a bit. Didn't have much to do other than the fine save at the end. Wasn't affected by his mistake, but looked shaky from their corners. Showed great awareness towards the end to set up counter attacks, which deserves some plaudits in my view.

Peltier 7 - An excellent tackle in the first half saved and almost certain goal. Full of energy and had to dealt with his many jobs well, i.e. helping with closing down in midfield and covering his own flank. Isn't great positionally, but he makes up for it with his constant running. Taking into consideration the quality of his immediate opponent, it was a very solid showing.

Morgan 8 - A rock at the back for over 70 minutes. Was nervous once he got that yellow, but he controlled himself well. Jackson and Morrison didn't get a foot in after the first minute chance. Was under a lot of pressure when Vaughan came on and some Norwich counterattacks materialised, but he and SSL managed that threat very well too. Unlucky with the back-heel, which might've just crept over.

SSL 8,5 - Excellent goal and was just as if not even more impressive at the back than Morgan. Don't see why Mills or Bamba should be restored on the back of this showing.

Kennedy 7,5 - Stood up well to Bennett and was constantly looking to support Dyer, which helped Lloyd to a very good performance. Unlucky to be taken off, although I'd understand it if he was knackered.

Marshall 7 - Don't think he had much success in his actual wing play, but worked hard and delivered some peaches from set pieces. I expect a lot from this guy after the praise he's gotten from Wednesday fans. On the back of this performance, I don't see why Gally should be preferred.

Wellens 8,5 - Was the glue in the side. His passing and vision was excellent and he put in a great shift defensively too. He just looks so composed on the ball and often chose the right option. The odd Hollywood ball can be condoned as it made our play less predictable and pinned their defenders back because of the constant threat of our strikers.

Danns 6,5 - He ran and he worked hard, but I think he lacks quality in the middle of the park. He might've had a high success rate with his passes, but he lost control of the ball in dangerous places and lacked positional sense. Still, he got his body forward in support well and helped out behind as well.

Dyer 7,5 - Martin must be glad the game is over, because Lloyd could easily run rings around him. Typical Dyer performance when he's on top of his game, and the delivery was good too. Tracked back very well, which forced Norwich to play in an unfamiliar fashion.

Beckford 7 - Linked up well with Nugent and had a few decent efforts from half-chances. Looked a bit frustrated first half, but kept on running and trying stuff. Deserved a goal.

Nugent 8 - He's our main man going forward, no shadow of a doubt. Does everything so well, holding up the ball, making runs, taking the aerial duels, running with the ball and just giving us that spark when going forward. His tireless display crowned with a great goal even if their defense was highly inept in that situation.

Subs:

Konchesky 6 - His low rating might have coincided with the Norwich subs, but I didn't feel all too secure when he replaced Kennedy. Made a very poor pass which ultimately ended with Hoolahan nearly curling it in at the far post. But he also made some good interceptions and passes while keeping energy levels up.

Delfouneso 5,5 - Didn't really show much attacking-wise other than a stray effort from range, and sometimes left Pelts with much to do. Did use his pace on the wing to help keep possession and giving options which was useful when running down the clock.
