Captain... Posted 22 February 2012 Posted 22 February 2012 Really don't care, I enjoyed watching them in the prem a few times, when they had Mustafa Hadji and a few other decent players to watch. I'm from north of Leicester and went to school in Loughborough, so I knew a fair few Forest fans and a few Derby fans, I was even friends with a few of them, so every game was a big one, but Cov never registered, partly because we never played them, we also didn't have East Midlands Today bumming Cov everyday. To be honest it was only really when I joined FT I realised there was a rivalry between the 2 clubs, they are our closest geographical rivals but I can't think of any incident between us and them, and I can think of reasons to hate most clubs.

In the 80's they tried to bus a few in on a Saturday night for a feisty night....They went back across the county border with their tails between their legs! Them winning the FA Cup was one of the worst footballing days of my life. Shit ground(s), shit fans, shit city...Fact!

Winds me up a bit that they see us as their biggest rival when they need to get into their inbread heads that we only hate proper clubs with a proper history (without trying to complement forest or derby to much of course). Why should we waste our time hating a souless joke of a club like cov who have no history, never won **** all and a shit fanbase!

My mum lived in hinckley when she was a little girl and she said when they bombed coventry in the war it was like fireworks night and they were out in the street partying. That is the most revolting thing I've ever read.
