21st Century Fox Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Everything else now fails to matter. The person who believes in fairies has issues running far deeper than a matter of equal rights. Come to think of it you never saw Jesus out with a woman, bit like Kevin Spacey.
flowwolf Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 I imagine to homosexual christians the difference means a lot. Assuming they believe in God, their right to a marriage in his eyes, is being blocked and monopolised by his 'representatives' down here. Whether homosexuality is actually so frowned upon by The Bible is a matter for debate in itself. It's pretty much the equivalent of not being allowed into a nightclub just because the doorman's a **** and doesn't like the look of you. Personally if I were gay and christian I'd feel fairly perturbed by such a bigoted group of followers. And if I were a gay carpenter I would probably be Jesus's dad. ( apparently he had nothing to do with the conception )
flowwolf Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Come to think of it you never saw Jesus out with a woman, bit like Kevin Spacey. I think his mum and Mary Magdalena would have something to say about that, not to mention Eric Idle .
21st Century Fox Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 And if I were a gay carpenter I would probably be Jesus's dad. ( apparently he had nothing to do with the conception ) In all fairness his wife was about 12 at the time.
FuriousFox46 Posted 15 August 2012 Author Posted 15 August 2012 I think his mum and Mary Magdalena would have something to say about that, not to mention Eric Idle . For an issue that only "self-absorbed, self-pitying sad acts" care about you seem to be commenting a lot.

FuriousFox46 Posted 15 August 2012 Author Posted 15 August 2012 Hello me old mate just got back from the park ? I enjoyed this forum more before I knew you existed.
Daggers Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 In all fairness his wife was about 12 at the time. The 12yr old's boyfriend ****ed her up? And people say history doesn't repeat itself.
flowwolf Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 I enjoyed this forum more before I knew you existed. Ok point taken.
21st Century Fox Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 The 12yr old's boyfriend ****ed her up? And people say history doesn't repeat itself. God was the original Humbert Humbert.
flowwolf Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 In all fairness his wife was about 12 at the time. That wouldn't have stopped Garry Glitter.
Daggers Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 God was the original Humbert Humbert. That's what happens when Annabel rings too soon.

Personally if I were gay and christian I'd feel fairly perturbed by such a bigoted group of followers. But there are no plans to force churches to marry people, even the current proposals say gay marriages will not be allowed in churches, so it really is nothing more than a name change being debated. But even if they did leave it to the discretion of the churches to decide if they want to marry someone or not, going back to your analogy, would rather be told that you couldn't get married in a church because it was illegal, or because the church, which you follow, disapproves of you? I know it is not justification, but by allowing churches to choose then it may result in more gay couples feeling alienated and marginalised.
Zingari Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 I always thought that not being corralled into ridiculous marriage ceremonies was one of the biggest benefits of gaydom .
Rincewind Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 There would be more people supporting or at least not bothered if 'Their Church'' did not tell them it was a sin and they would go to hell if they did not speak out against it. If they were told that a passage in the bible has been re-interpretted supporting gay relationships there would be a sudden turn around..

Frankly, I don't get why you'd be gay and Christian - it seems like being a pig and choosing to work in a slaughter house. And, since you mentioned being gay and the bible:

Debatable - Neuroscience has started to tear a massive hole in that idea. It stands as something that's probably false but for the sake of society we should just assume it exists.

If can read us because we are pre-programmed to act in certain ways to certain stimulus.

I'm not convinced that Darren Brown isn't just an ordinary magician who puts in a load of psycho babble as a gimmick.
21st Century Fox Posted 15 August 2012 Posted 15 August 2012 Speaking of which Derren Brown is a homosexual, former Evangelical Christian.

Go and see him live if you can, it really is just amazing, unless the entire crowd were stooges apart from me and my friends, then it is more than just illusions, of course there is some of that too it, and hypnosis, through a bit of cold reading in there, and subliminal messaging, and psychology, but even knowing all of that I still can't even begin to fathom how he did what he did. Speaking of which Derren Brown is a homosexual, former Evangelical Christian. He's a mind bender, as my slightly non PC friend would say.
Rincewind Posted 16 August 2012 Posted 16 August 2012 Well I have free will and I choose not to join a religious cult.
